Visee x Rich Mineral Cheeks Baby Finish

Here are the recently (as in mid March) released Visee x Rich Mineral Cheeks Baby Finish in 2 limited edition colors, PK-6 and OR-7. Ignoring the silly names Fairy Heroine and Active Heroine, the polka dots compacts and lace embossed pressed powder totally sold me. I picked up both, in addition to 4 others in the permanent lineup, which I will get to later in the month.

The Visee x Rich collaboration featured on Visee's front page.

Aside from the adorable packaging however, both powders are on the sheer side. It's quite obvious that they were going for a softer look with these 2 limited editions. The [heavily done] swatches reflect this too, which leads me to guess they're probably sheerer than the permanent lineup since those colors look much brighter. I haven't played with the four I have yet so I can't compare, but when I do, I will confirm one way or another. I'm actually okay with these sheer limited edition since I like my blushers sheer to begin with ^.^

PK-6 and OR-7. All pictures taken in natural light without flash.

Texture wise, they are smooth and finely milled. Again I haven't touched the other colors I have so I can't compare, but these limited editions feel a bit waxy. It's not so bad that it bothers me, but it's still there and you may notice it too. These are shimmery blushes, quite shimmery for a pressed powder blush in fact! I find this unusual because when I think of shimmery blushes, I think of baked ones, like Etude House Orgel Light Cheek, Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls Blush, Laura Mercier Gilded Garden Shimmer Bloc, Clinique Shimmering Tones, Estee Lauder Signature 5-Tone Shimmer Powder, Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Diamond Luster Face Powder, and VOV Castledew Diacut Cheek. That said, thank goodness they're not frosty. Out of the 4 colors in each pan, 3 are shimmery, with the lightest color being most shimmery and the darkest color being matte. I tend to just swirl them all together for a pretty shimmery glow, but during the day I avoid swirling over the lightest shade to control the bling factor.

PK-6 and OR-7

In conclusion, I actually like these two limited editions, but you may hate them. Because of their sheerness, I feel like I can't screw up ^.^ Unlike the more pigmented blushes that can turn me into a clown if I over apply, these just give me brightened fresh cheeks. But of course if you are looking for some color, these will definitely frustrate. And don't forget about the shimmers, stay away if you don't like them. Personally, I think the shimmers are pretty, but of course that's because I love all things sparkly.

PK-6: looks like a warm peachy pink combination in the pan but actually goes on me much cooler than expected. This one is a bit sheerer than the OR-7 even, so unless you're fair, it might just be a nice pinky highlighter. On me it's a sheer veil of brightening cool pink.

Clockwise from top left: swatches were done heavily!
- A pale pearly pink. This is the most pearly shimmery shade in the pan.
- A very sheer and fleshy peach pink with larger but more scattered shimmer particles. This shade is so sheer it barely showed up on the back of my hand even after several layers!
- A pretty princess pink with subtle shimmers and a satiny finish.
- A brighter and matte carnation pink.

- OR-7: looks nude in the pan but turns more peachy on me.

Clockwise from top left: again, swatches were done heavily!
- A pearly pinky ecru, the most pearly shimmery shade in the pan.
- A shimmery beige, again with larger and more scattered shimmer particles.
- A pretty peach with subtle shimmers and satiny finish. This shade is also very sheer and barely showed on the back of my hand even after several layers!
- This color surprised me the most. I expected this to be a light bronzer of sort, but it turned orangey nude on the back of my hand and even peachier on my cheeks ^.^

Thanks for the detailed review and swatches! I was contemplating ordering these from Adambeauty but I think I can safely pass on them now after reading your review.
