Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer

This mini 5.5g/0.19oz. tube of Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer was part of a palette my friend A. bought. Since she already has the full size of this primer, she passed this mini one on to me ^.^ I happen to be on an eye primer kick lately, trying out several other brands so I was more than happy for this little tube. Thanks A.!

Fresh Sugar Mini Tinted Lip Treatment Part II

Every holiday season Sephora runs tempting promotions and of course I fall for it every time -.-' 2013 was no different, and there were these interesting sets of deluxe sample bags with items I've been wanting to try. So I ended up with 2 small separate orders because two of these fours bags appealed to me ^.^ This 2.2g/0.07oz. tube of Fresh Sugar Mini Tinted Lip Treatment Petal is a part of the Holly Jolly bag.

Coffret D'Or 2013 Total Designing Set (Picture heavy!)

Having really enjoyed the Coffret D'Or 2012 Total Designing Set, I decided to get the 2013 Total Designing Set too, being that it contains the 3D Gradation Eyes I've been curious about.

As with the 2012 version, there are 4 sets, each with an eye shadow palette, a blush, and lip color. The eye shadow palettes are housed in limited edition compacts with pretty lacy print, the blushes are in paper cartons with matching lacy print, and the lip colors are also in a cute tube packaging. As the EX-2 and EX-4 sets have the 3D Gradation Eyes in 2 limited edition palettes I went for these just as I did last year. Otherwise, the colors available in the permanent lineup look boring ^.^

Phytomer Hydra Original Thirst-Relief Melting Cream Part II

After my trial of the Phytomer Hydra Original Thirst-Relief Melting Cream travel size 15mL/0.5fl oz., I wanted to pick up a full size for hubby. Looking around on the internet, I stumbled upon an excellent promotion on Phytomer products via Le Spa USA (not affiliated!), so that was all the excuse I needed to get a few things ^.^

I ended up with a Phytomer Moisturizing Face Gift Set, a full size Rasage Perfect Shaving Mask (from Phytomer's men skincare line), and got a Phytomer Moisturizing Travel Set as GWP. Just a week later, a gigantic box showed up and hubby gave me a bug-eyed face:
Hubby: "What in the world did you buy?!?"
Me: "Erhh...some face cream and shaving cream for you??"

Upon opening it, my jaws dropped - in addition to what I ordered, Le Spa USA had sent me a freakin' boat load of samples along with a cosmetic pouch. Holy crap, talking about generosity! Thank you Le Spa USA!

Clinique Fresh Bloom Allover Colour

I owe these Clinique Fresh Bloom Allover Colours an apology, or at least a super belated review :P I've had and been using them for years, since before I left to Japan! This was when Clinique tried to be little more interesting with their products which I thought was a great success. I own 4 different colors and 5 compacts after all: 01 Peony, 03 Almond Blossom, 05 Amaryllis, and 08 Bamboo Pink. Two of the compacts are mini freebies but the other 3 are full size purchased at full retail!

Majolica Majorca Cream de Cheek

These Majolica Majorca Cream de Cheek were impulse buys because it's been a while since I bought anything from Adam Beauty LOL!

These caught my eyes because they're in a packaging akin to nail polish, in a glass bottle with a metal ball you'll have to shake well, then apply with a little dab from the brush. There are 4 colors available but I didn't bother with OR313 Custard Cream which looks like a nude color and I didn't see a point in applying a nude blush :P So I ended up with PK312 Shell Pink Cream, RD310 Coral Cream, and RD411 Kuchigo Cream.

Clinique Shimmering Stripes Powder Blusher

So I owe a couple of super belated reviews to some Clinique blushes I've been using for years! Yes, years, because I'm that easily distracted. Anyway, of those blushes is this pretty Shimmering Stripes Powder Blusher in 01 Cabana Pink.

Victoria's Secret HyperGloss Eye Shimmer

Last year, while browsing and hoping my beloved Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Soothing Lip Balm to make a comeback, I discovered these HyperGloss Eye Shimmer in the clearance section and picked them up on a whim. I'm soooooooo glad I did, because they're gorgeous!

I bought 3 colors at the time, Night Lights, Moon Lights, and Golden Lights. All pictures taken in natural light without flash.

Lancome Rouge in Love

Other than the occasional freebie, I haven't bought any Lancome lippy for a long time, so that was my excuse to give the Rouge in Love line a try.

I guess what got me interested was that the lip colors are divided into 3 "moods":
- Those marked with "M": Jolis Matins, "fresh" colors for daytime wear (wait, does that mean for any other time the colors aren't fresh?!?).
- Those marked with "B": Boudoir Time, "pop" colors, I guess here means bright, for cocktail time.
- Those marked with "N": Tonight is My Night, "intense" colors for nighttime wear.

As you can probably guess, I bought 3 M's and 1 B's, because I don't like intense lip colors: 106M Jolis Matins (that's the name of the color!), 128M Ever So Sweet, 322M Corail in Love, and 340B Rose Boudoir. I actually didn't intend to get any B's, but I was curious to see how bright is "pop" ^.^

Shiseido The Makeup Camellia Compact

Picked up this Shiseido The Makeup Limited Edition Camellia Compact a couple of years ago actually. The problem with a really gorgeous compact is that, well, you're afraid to use -.-' But for the past year I finally got over my fear and "ruined" its pristine condition for your viewing pleasure LOL

The Body Shop Lily Cole Puff On Radiance

Update Saturday, March 22, 2014.

A reader, Ann, wanted to clarify whether these pearls are truly colorless, so I have posted a swatch photo, which I should have done to begin with ^.^ By the way, from playing with these pearls, I learned they are buttery and silky to the touch!

The pearls are of 3 colors (left to right): peachy pink (less than 20%), pearly shell pink (about 40%), and pearly gold (about 40%). To get each swatch, I literally picked one out and rubbed it many times to get a color to show up. Only the peach pink would work as a blush, and that's if you were to apply the same way I swatched, as in picking that specific color out and rub it heavily onto your cheek xD Technically, you can separate the peachy pink pearls and use a blush brush to pick up the color as blush. Otherwise, given the percentage of the color distribution and the disperse of a stippling or highlighting brush, there will only a brightening veil of warmth (due to the peach pink and gold).

Original post Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Picked up this Body Shop Lily Cole Puff On Radiance at the same time as the sheer and bulky Lip & Cheek Domes and have been using this powder since. It's in a giant ball jar with a flat base, which makes it both bulky and difficult to store, but thankfully the powder itself is quite nice ^.^

SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil

I have several of these SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil in 34mL travel size bottles and have been taking them with me on travels.

Unlike other travel sized cleansing oils I've used in the past, these come with a stopper lid which prevents spillage, which I appreciate. The stopper lid also dispenses sparingly with shakes, meaning no overflowing in the palms, which I also appreciate.
