Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment

In the fall 2016 when hubby and I just moved home from Tokyo, I sort of went crazy stocking up on eye creams after realizing I had completely ran out. This 14g/0.5oz. jar of Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment was among the several full sizes I bought. Funny how I didn't get to using it until a whole year later... =.=

So this eye cream was advertised to contain avocado oil, which is great. I love avocados and avocado oil is good for me. Then I opened the jar and the guacamole-like content confused me a bit. I've seen avocado oil. It looks just like any other oil with a green-tinted yellowy color. But this, this looks like a cream of the actual avocados themselves. I even checked the full list of ingredients and didn't see any added colorant, which only made me more curious as to what gave this eye cream the green avocado color.

But aside from the coloring, it's unscented and is very thick and creamy, perfect for this winter weather that's picking up steam. We've had some pretty darn cold days and my eye area hasn't shown any sign of dryness like taut, itchy skin for example. So this stuff works is what I'm saying, and considering how little of it I need for each use, this jar will last me quite some time. Heck, I might even have to store it away for the summer and dig it out again next winter. I feel my $48 is pretty well-spent.

Will I repurchase? Probably not, because if it'll last me two winters, I'd probably be so tired of it by then and would be ready to move on and try other things.

I dont usually buy eye cream (the Sephora gwp ones last forever anyway) but I am smitten with the sulwasoo rejuvenating one after trying samples...Its expensive as hell but i realize whenever i do buy a full sized (15ml) the sale Girl gave me 10ml sample size Anyway (on top of all other freebies) so it's the only one I splurge on...

Oh wait actually my daily moisturizer are effective enough I am forgeting eye cream...I shall start using it for winter

Hey Mina,

I usually don't buy eye creams either. I get loads of GWP with other skincare purchases and those last me a looong time too. But last fall with all the international moving I couldn't keep track of my skincare queue and literally ran out of ALL eye creams. And the climate where I am requires a thick one for the winter. Eeeps!

I'll keep an eye out for the Sulwasoo one ^.^

Happy New Year!

Cheers,
D.
