The marvelous Convertible Colors has inspired me to try other Stila cream blushes, and the Color Push-ups' fun packaging caught my eyes. I have several of these but have only tried Fuschia Flash, so I will review the others later.
These Color Push-ups come in a super cute and tiny deodorant-like tube with a twist knob at the bottom. It also has a clear body so you know exactly what troubles you are getting into :D The only problem I noticed, as has been pointed out by others, is that the cap closed very snuggly at the tip of the tube. That means whenever you're done, you'll have to roll the color all the way back down or its top surface will be crushed by the cap. Other than that, awesome packaging. Love it!
All pictures taken indoor with flash, unless otherwise noted.
- Fuchsia Flash: A bright fuschia with hints of violet. Very intimidating for me to even look at since I'm very warm toned. To my pleasant surprise, however, it is rather sheer, giving me a glowy pink flush. It also has a lovely powdery finish, similar to the Convertible Colors only less pronounced. To be honest, I would have never bought this color given how bright it looks, but a 40% off discount proved to be good encouragement :D I am quite pleased with this purchase so far.
- Top row: Fuchsia Flash, swatched (left) and blended (right)
- Bottom row: Pink Flash, swatched (left) and blended (right), will review soon.
Picture taken in natural light without flash.
*giggles* it kinda looks like colorful deodorant!! :0P
ReplyDeleteHi Gezebel!
ReplyDeleteDon't they?? I LOVE it!!! So adorable! Now I just have to remember and not wipe them all over my underarms... Eeep!!!
Hiya, dropped by via Muse's blog! I wasn't a big fan of Stila's Push Up. I had Berry Flash and it made my skin look ruddy. :-/ But I'm glad Fuchsia Flash worked out for you.
ReplyDeleteHi Psychoexgirlfriend!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!
Aww...have you tried other Push-up colors? I find that different colors have different textures and finishes. The Rouge Flash, for example, is gel-like. But I understand, I have had similar experience with other Stila stuff too. I guess certain things don't work for everyone... :S
Hey Dalenna, I haven't tried other colours. LOL, at the time when I tried it out, Stila wasn't readily available to me so I couldn't. I just ordered the Berry Flash online at Sephora.
ReplyDeleteHi Psychoexgirlfriend!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!! :D I saw Berry, Blush, Rose, and Nude Flash on Stila's website, so you bet they're all gonna go into my shopping cart the next time Stila has a sale :D I think I'm going to collect them all! I love these nifty little things!
Hi, I'm also here from Muse, and I'm wondering which of these (if any) would be best...I'm very pale, always one shade away from the palest of several companies' foundations, and currently use a very pink blush I like, but it's powder...and in summer tends to disappear easily, what with sweating and all. I've looked at these three colors on several sites and am never sure if it's coming through correctly in the picture. Which is the pinkest? I have no idea what my undertones are. If it's the gold vs. silver jewelry thing, gold tends to work better, but I could just be saying that because it goes with my blonde hair better. Gah, I've no idea which of these to use!
ReplyDeleteHi mauvemalady!
ReplyDeletewelcome! thanks for visiting :D
out of all the Stila push-up colors, i have sweet flash, pink flash, cream flash, fuchsia flash, and rouge flash, but i've only used pink and fuchsia flash. out of these 2, fuchsia flash is pinker as pink flash is VERY sheer on me. if you describe yourself as very very fair, i would stay away from pink flash.
you know what though? if you are that fair and is looking for a cream blush that will show, i would recommend Stila Convertible Color in either Lilium or Gerbera. i did a review on those 2 as i absolutely LOVED them!!! do check them out!
my review for them is here:
