HiPitch Cleansing Oil M (Mild Type)

Given how HiPitch Deep Cleansing Oil W and its splish-splashiness annoyed the hell out of me, I don't even know why I picked up this 190mL bottle of Cleansing Oil M (Mild Type). Impulse buy, may be? Or I was hoping this mild version would have a better texture than the regular one, like how DHC Mild Touch Cleansing Oil and FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil both have that thicker, cushy jelly texture. What was I thinking?

Well, I wasn't. And I wasn't surprised either that this Mild Type is just as thin and runny. Every time I pump some out on my palm it splatters everywhere. Urgh. Honestly, I can't tell the difference at all between this Mild Type and the regular version. They share even the citrusy scent and they don't rinse totally clean. So no more HiPitch oil cleansers for me! Time to move on.

Cocopalm Natural Shampoo

Using this 600mL bottle of Cocopalm Natural Shampoo right now and liking it quite a bit! Since using Tsubaki Oil Nouveau 2015 Shampoo, I've been seeking out the non-silicone instead of regular shampoos. This Cocopalm fits the bill. It's advertised as "amino acid and non-silicone," and also free of sodium laureth sulfate, paraben, mineral oil, and additives. According to Cocopalm's brand website, the shampoo also has hibiscus and papaya essence.

I'm almost done with this 7mL/0.23oz. jar of Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm, a part of the Sephora Favorites 2015 Skin Wonderland kit an angel sent me back in the spring.

Tokyo Eats - Roppongi Area Part III

It's taken us a while but hubby and I are slowly exploring the Roppongi area for good food ^.^

This Hainan Jeefan Shokudo in Azabu-Juban was a discovery from last fall. Hubby and his colleagues stumbled upon it and that was that. Funny enough I don't like the Singapore chicken rice, but I'll give them due credit that the chicken rice here is out of this world! My god that breast meat is unbelievably tender and juicy. How do they do it?! Anyway, I prefer their curry to the chicken rice, because it tastes like mum's curry ^.^

Tokyo Eats - In the neighborhood Part III (Picture heavy!)

More food posts because we eat out a lot ^.^ The spring was spectacular with all the blooms, though I nearly clawed my eyes out because of allergies. I took lots of sakura pictures but I'm behind as usual, so I'll post them later when I get there.

Afternoon Tea at the Peak Lounge, Park Hyatt Tokyo Part II

For March's tea session, our tea club felt like revisiting an old place, so we went back to the Peak Lounge at Park Hyatt Tokyo. This time we were seated by the window in a different corner of the room. Let's just say we fully enjoyed view we got ^.^

Anessa Perfect Essence Sunscreen A+N SPF50+ PA++++

Having finished Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen A+N, I moved on to my 25g tube of Anessa Perfect Essence Sunscreen A+N SPF50+ PA++++, which is a terrible idea because it's getting really humid. At the same time, I don't want to wait until the fall to use it. This product has also been discontinued and this review too is already outdated as it is. I just want to hurry up and use it.

Lunasol Summer Kit 2016 Eye Shadow Swatches

I was super excited about this Lunasol Summer Kit 2016, much so I purposely stayed far, far the hell away from any cosmetic counter. I know what kind of damages I'm capable of, so it's just best to keep off.

Why am I so excited about this kit? Because of this Three-Dimensional Eyes EX02 Clear Beige palette, of course! I'm a fan of these Three-Dimensional Eyes so this got me hopeful.

Lunasol 2016 Summer Clear Colorful Eyes Swatches

Update Saturday June 4, 2016.

In my original post below, I'd gushed over that gorgeous navy in EX01 Ocean Lagoon Collection but didn't want to buy the whole palette for just that color. Instead, I contemplated going for Addiction The Eyeshadow single in 96 Blue Moon.

Then during a conversation, a reader, Caty, recommended I try the Vivid Clear Eyes 01 Blue Green Collection for its deep color, a blackened blue-green. As you know, I loved these Vivid Clear Eyes palettes--I own 5 of them!

So while in Ginza last week to swatch the Three-Dimensional Eyes EX03 Clear Beige palette from the Summer Kit 2016 (will post next), I went ahead and swatched all 3 candidates: Addiction 96 Blue Moon, Lunasol EX01 Ocean Lagoon, and Lunasol 01 Blue Green ^.^

Addiction 96 Blue Moon has lots of purple with periwinkle shimmers. Under direct indoor lighting, Lunasol EX01 Ocean Lagoon isn't so much a navy anymore but is still a gorgeous and vivid lagoon blue with royal blue shimmers. And turns out, Lunasol 01 Blue Green isn't blue at all but is more like a greenish black with multi-colored shimmers. Then again, the indoor lighting was yellow, so perhaps there was a little blue in it that got drowned out? Either way it's beautiful, but unfortunately not what I'm looking for.

So what was the verdict? I went for both Addiction 96 Blue Moon and Lunasol EX01 Ocean Lagoon ^.^" Addiction because I love the purple touch (I love purple anything...), and EX01 Ocean Lagoon because that vivid blue looks even more lustrous and beautiful in comparison to other blues. It's that one color I just know I'd regret passing up, so in the end I gave in and bought the whole palette for it. Will review later.

Original post Sunday, April 24, 2016.

The first glimpses of Lunasol's 2016 Summer release, the Clear Colorful Eyes weren't enticing to me at all. They're releasing 2 quads this summer, the cool-toned EX01 Ocean Lagoon Collection and the warm-toned EX02 Coral Shell Collection. I rarely buy quads to begin with, and the colors have been recycled to death, nothing new or special. Totally yawn-worthy.
