When I first saw these Innisfree Glow Tint Stick, I thought, oooh sheer, translucent, and glossy lippies, I'm in! So I went and grabbed them off of Korea Department Store.
There are 10 colors available, and just looking at the stock photos, I picked 02 Tangerine Sunlight, 03 Coral Lake, 05 Pink Cheek, 06 Coral Sunset, 07 Pink Cloud, 08 Red Sunset, and 09 Evening Sunset, skipping over 01 Coral Spring, 04 Spring Rose, and 10 Rosy Sunset.

These come in a twist-up pen packaging similar to the beloved discontinued Lavshuca Moist Melting Rouge and its even older incarnation Rouge Essence Bar. Each of the pen is color-coded at the cap tip that's actually accurate! However, these Innisfree ones are NOT retractable, so do follow the instructions and only twist up 1mm at a time, enough for one generous application.
The reason being that the formula is also similar to the Lavshuca pens, in that it's super soft and will not withstand any pressure at all. So if you twist up too much, you can expect a glob of product on your lips. That said, the texture is much thicker than Lavshuca, if not slightly tacky, and it's definitely not as moisturizing. Basically, these are lip glosses in a stick.
No, scratch that. These are liquid lip colors in a stick, because they're really quite pigmented! See the swatches for yourself. There's a spectrum of finishes going from opaque to translucent, but none of them are sheer in my humble opinion. And sadly, due to the tackiness they apply rather patchy. The more opaque colors apply especially uneven on my lips despite swatching well on the back of my hand. I've had to use my fingertip to smooth them out every time, and even then just pressing my lips together will mess it up and make it patchy again.
Thankfully, all the colors I have are shimmer free. While I do appreciate that they're bright and vivid, several of the colors are so close (even their names are similarly repetitive...) they're indistinguishable after blending. So over all, I'm glad I tried these, but I won't repurchase.

None really look like must have colors to me
ReplyDeleteHi kuri,
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm actually getting pretty frustrated with these. This morning I applied one over lip balm, and still it was patchy and required me to smooth it out with my fingertip :(
So yeah, it's too bad as they seemed promising at first...
D.
Oh, that's a bummer :( they look pretty and great for summer :/
