Mommy! UV Mild Gel SPF33 PA+++

So right before the school year ended, hubby and I naively thought that having the older kiddo would be at summer camp and the younger kiddo in preschool meant we would have more time to catch up with things we've been neglecting, like this blog of mine. Nope. It's now end of July and my last post dated May 1. Ha.

Anyway, my kiddos have been having a blast at summer camp, playing outside and going swimming, which means sunscreens galore! This 100g pump bottle of Mommy! UV Mild Gel SPF33 PA+++ was among the better sunscreens we used on the kiddos, and they liked it enough to call it "bear sauce."

This "bear sauce" was a daily sunscreen--as in not water or sweat proof--that I slathered liberally all over my kiddos (face, neck, ears, chest, arms, and legs) before taking them to camp and school. For swim/splash days, they use Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen Spray and Stick for kids--will post on those later. Anyway, "bear sauce" came out of the bottle a milky gel. It was super light and easy to apply, had a faintly minty scent with a very slight tingling sensation upon application.

As the name suggested, it was in fact quite mild. Both of my kiddos have sensitive, eczema-prone skin, especially the 7 year-old who would get dry patches everywhere if his skin didn't like the product. This "bear sauce" did not cause any dry patches which I found pretty impressive and promptly repurchased 5 more bottles. The problem was the small size--100g wasn't much at all and barely lasted 3 weeks with both kids, if that. Even funnier was that this 100g pump bottle was already considered "family size" in the Japanese market, and hence 5 back-up bottles. Definitely recommend.
