Sisley Ecological Compound Emulsion

Finished up this 4mL/0.13fl. oz. tube of Sisley Ecological Compound Emulsion several weeks ago but somehow left this post in the draft folder and never published it. Woops! This was from the super generous swap package with Caty last winter (thank you, Caty!).

This was a runny and milky emulsion that was meant to be layered under a moisturizer. But first thing first: it smelled really nice, like expensive French soap, a powdery-flowery scent that was not at all strong or overpowering. It was my favorite scented Sisley product so far!

Anyway, since it was an emulsion, it wasn't anywhere near enough by itself. I used it in the morning, over Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum and under Estee Lauder Nutritious Super-Pomegranate Radiant Moisture Creme (formerly Nutritious Vitality8 Radiant Moisture Creme, will review the newer version later). However, there were days when I was lazy and didn't layer moisturizer over it. The results were dry flakes that very afternoon, which was disappointing for an emulsion so expensive ($250 for 125mL)!

I also received a 1.5mL/0.05fl. oz. satchet of Hydra-Global Serum Anti-Aging Hydration Booster from Caty in the same swap package, and one morning I decided to use this instead of the Drunk Elephant serum to see if the emulsion would fare better without a moisturizer on top. Nope. The results were the same and dry flakes appeared on my cheeks later that afternoon :(
