T3 Featherweight Compact Hair Dryer

After returning the T3 Cura Luxe Hair Dryer, naturally my next choice was this Featherweight Compact Hair Dryer (mine shows model #76851), because it was the only thing available after the Cura models. T3 had already discontinued the full size Featherweight long ago.

After another 3-weeks trial, I'm happy to say our search for a replacement for the original Featherweight is over. Now, that's not to say this newer Featherweight Compact is in any way better than the original Featherweight, but it's much better than the Cura Luxe for sure, at least for our purpose it is.

Side ways and folded.

In comparison to the discontinued original Featherweight, this Featherweight Compact is:
- Just slightly heavier: 13.9oz., versus the original full size Featherweight's 13oz., probably due to the oddly long handle
- Is travel-ready with folding handle and dual voltages
- Just as fast: still dries my wet hair in 7 minutes on the lowest heat and speed setting, thank goodness!
- Just as gentle: no dry hair or split ends so far
- not as muted: has a higher pitched and shrill metallic fan noise, but it's still much quieter than the Cura Luxe
- Cost the same as the previous Overnight Dryer: $150 (although T3 frequently runs promotional discount--I got $25 discount on mine)

Front and back.

So yes, hubby and I like it and are keeping it, especially since we don't know when our Featherweight will die on us :(
