Canmake Stay-On Balm Rouge SPF11 Part V + Tint Type

Since last fall, I'd gotten my hands on three more Canmake Stay-On Balm Rouge SPF11 in the colors 13 Milky Alyssum and 14 Poppy Bouquet from the regular lineup, and a Tint Type T04 Chocolate Lily

All pictures taken in natural light without flash.

I sure hope Canmake will never discontinue these. I had to remind myself several times to rotate the last ones out because I kept reaching for them over all the lippies in the tray. They're affordable, easy to use, available in pretty colors, and with damn decent quality for a drugstore product.

- 13 Milky Alyssum: translucent and shimmer free coral-red. Love!

- 14 Poppy Bouquet: translucent and shimmer free orange-red. More love!

- T04 Chocolate Lily: transparent plum-brown that leaves a faint mauve stain.

  1. Ha, one of these (in color 9 - my favorite for fall) was in the giant batch of cosmetics I made my mother take home for me. I still have a somewhat melting 11 here that I'm hoping to use up this summer. These are so good, my only complaint is that my previous 9 melted in my bag.

  2. Hi Julia,

Yeah they do melt with heat from the sun. Not sure about body temperature though. Whereas I do know those Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments ($24!!!) melt with body temperature. No sun needed.

  3. I ordered milky alyssum and Poppy bouquet last week! Now I wandered if I should have gotten the tint one as well (the first three turned the same shade of hot pink on me). Btw I am a big-ish fan of fresh lip balm as they are the few winterproof lipstick I could wear... And I finished one full size and a mini.

  4. As a chronic 35° person, I don't think I've ever personally melted a lipstick :D

Is it possible that my last comment on the Maquillage post didn't make it to you?

  5. Hey Mina,

The T04 left a faint mauve stain on me, so let's hope it wouldn't pull hot pink or grandma-magenta on you ^.^"

Oh no doubt the Fresh lip treatments are fantastic. My gripes with them are that they're so overpriced and they melt with body temperature.

    Cheers,

  6. Hey Julia,

I was surprised too that I was able to melt a Fresh lip balm! It wasn't like I'd taken it into the sauna with me--I had it in the waist pocket of my wool jacket and I was in an air-conditioned hotel room!

Oh no! I did not get your last comment on the Maquillage post! I didn't hear back from you and thought the silence meant that you were letting me down gently ^.^ Please do resend!

    Cheers,
    D.

  8. Hey Julia,

It's ok to not answer every question. I wouldn't have taken it personally ^.^

  10. Hi Claire,

So sorry for the super late reply. A bunch of blog comments got stuck in the moderation box and I had no idea they were until Citrine alerted me to her missing comments.

Which new canmake balm(s) did you end up getting?

    Cheers,
    D.

  11. Hi! No worries; I figured you were busy or something.
I haven't gotten one yet; still scraping out the old one lol. T01 Little Anemone is on ny list though. I kinda want to declutter my other lippies first. Maybe next week :)

  12. Hi!

Well, I'm both busy and incompetent for not realizing something's up until months later when someone else pointed it out to me >.<"

And you're so much more disciplined than I am. I've only had to scrape out Medieval so far because I carry it at all times and reach for it way more than all my other lippies!

    How are you?

    Cheers,
    D.
