Bought this Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Milk on clearance last year because it'd been discontinued. I read that it's super light weight, so I didn't think much of it. Plus it being in a spray bottle and is probably a thin runny liquid, I didn't expect much moisturizing power either.
Wrong again. It is indeed an opaque white runny milk, but it's quite moisturizing, more effective than the two body lotions I was using at the time (more travel sizes of Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion and L'Occitane Lavender Body Lotion)! Even better is that the softening effect it gives lasts through the next day, unlike the Caudalie and L'Occitane lotions both of which made my skin soft (and somewhat greasy) right after application but returned me to a lizard the next morning. The best part is that my skin just soaks up this body milk and then I don't feel it on me anymore!
Of course, it is scented with rose, and I must admit I don't love the fragrance. However, I don't dislike it either. Still, why would they discontinue such a great product? I checked The Body Shop USA website and it looks like the whole Moroccan Rose range is mostly gone with just Body Butter left available. However, after trying 3 different body butters from The Body Shop (Strawberry, Pink Grapefruit, and Cherry), I decided I dislike them in general. They are too heavily scented in addition to having inconsistent texture from one scent to the next (Pink Grapefruit was the lightest, then Strawberry, and Cherry being greasiest of the 3). That means I will not be buying the Moroccan Rose Body Butter anytime soon. As for this lovely body milk, I guess it's E(vil)bay time, which makes me regret dearly I didn't buy a few bottles when they were still available on clearance T.T
hrm, a pity!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it's worth trying out the body wash :)
Hi kuri,
ReplyDeleteYes, it's quite a pity that they discontinued this spray milk. I'm using it right now and it's been keeping my skin soft ^.^ I hate E(vil)bay but I think I might cave on this one...
Cheers,
D.
