Visee x Aula Aila Glam Shade Eyes

Happy New Year!!!

These are two limited edition Visee x Aula Aila Glam Shade Eyes in BR-9 Gypsy Gold and BR-10 Nostalgic Bronze. I picked them up the summer of 2013 along with two other palettes in the regular line-up BR-2 and GR-5, having spotted them on sale at Adam Beauty (not affiliated!).

Visee Glam Shade Eyes

I found these Visee Glam Shade Eyes on sale at Adam Beauty (not affiliated) around the summer of 2013. Originally I'd skipped over these as I read that they weren't Visee's best, but at the time I was kind of, umm, desperate for some Japanese eye shadows as it's been kind of a long dry spell :( So I picked up 2 palettes BR-2 and GR-5, as well as the two limited edition Aula Aila palettes, which I will review next. These have been discontinued prior to Visee's brand revamp in 2013, but you can still find them on E(vil)bay.

Eyeko Liquid Metal Eyeliner

Eyeko Liquid Metal Eyeliner is the last of my Eyeko purchase this past September, along with Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Brown, Visual Eyes Liquid Eyeliners in Ebony and Mocha, and Brow Liner (only 1 color).

For these Liquid Metal Eyeliners, there are 2 colors available, Black Onyx and Rose Gold. I bought only Black Onyx at the time (though over the Thanksgiving promotion I received Rose Gold as GWP, will review later).

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss

This is the last of my Tarte purchase this past September, a LipSurgence Lip Gloss mini in the color Magic, which was a part of the Magic Wish Deluxe LipSurgence Lip Set. The set also includes a Lip Creme in the color Wishful.

Canmake Stay-On Balm Rouge SPF11

So the US dollar has been going strong against the Japanese yen in the past several months. Right now, the exchange rate is about where it was when I was in Japan way back in 2005-2006. Damn right Japan's on sale, folks! So what do I do but indulge in these Canmake Stay-On Balm Rouge, otherwise too ridiculous with the markups and all.

There were 9 colors available, but a couple of months ago when I bought these, color 04 Savonly Lily was discontinued. Sure I can still find it on E(vil)bay, but it's a nude beige color and I have enough of those so I happily skipped ^.^ And just within this past month, Canmake discontinued 2 more colors, 01 Rosier Rose and 07 Dancing Camellia, which is really too bad because both are gorgeous colors!

From left to right: 01 Rosier Rose, 02 Smily Gerbera, 03 Tiny Sweetpea, 05 Flowing Cherry Petal, 06 Sweet Clematis, 07 Dancing Camellia, 08 Juicy Peony, and 09 Masquerade Bud just released in early October! All pictures taken in natural light without flash.

Paul & Joe Face Powder S

It seems like every year, Paul & Joe releases a powder/highlighter of some kind, most often in pressed form and dare I say blah looking, so I always skip. The spring of 2014 though saw a Face Powder S in the shade 001 housed in a 35g paper jar of loose balls with a puff, and it promptly went onto my wish lish. It actually reminded me of a similar powder blush balls in a Disney jar released in 2009! This is my second loose ball highlighter, with the first being The Body Shop Lily Cole Puff On Radiance.

FANCL Highlighter Part II

I picked up this new FANCL Highlighter along with the newer Cheek Color in Sweet Pink before I left Japan in the late summer of 2012. Like the previous Highlighter, this new one is available in only one color, the White Colors (very inspired name, isn't it?). I have been using both all this time but didn't get around to review until now.

FANCL Cheek Color Part IV

It's been a loooooong time since I bought a FANCL Cheek Color, with the last review dated 2010! That's because it's been a looooooong time since FANCL released anything interesting, and the last limited edition item being in 2008 :( Anyhoo, right before I moved home in the late summer of 2012, FANCL finally came out with a new-ish blush and highlighter.

There are 3 colors for the Cheek Color, Sweet Pink, Coral Pink, and Bronze Pink, and just one color for the highlighter, the White Colors. All are now available from the FANCL USA online shop. I picked up only Sweet Pink and the Highlighter White Colors, which I will review in a separate post. Yes, I do know these reviews are two years late, but considering these did take some time to come to the American shore, I think I'm only about a year or so late, which is not that bad :P I have been using both all this time, just never got around to reviewing them.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush

This Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in the color Thankful was a part of the Thoughtful Treasures Best-Sellers Set I bought last winter, which also includes Pure Maracuja Oil 7mL/0.23oz. (haven't tried yet!) and LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint Energy (love!).

Eyeko Brow Liner

This Eyeko Brow Liner is an experiment for me. I had no idea what to expect but I thought, heck, I like Eyeko's eye liners, so sure I'll try the brow liner. All this time, I have been relying on just the Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Brow Kit, so having options would be nice. This pen is available in only one color, a faint and transparent brown.

Integrate Pure Big Eyes Part II

I picked up these two Integrate Pure Big Eyes last year after having an extended trial of the eight I bought while in Taipei. I'm a year late in reviewing them but better late than never ^.^ The LE VI700 was released winter 2012, and the LE #2 Flower Orange came out summer 2013. I skipped the LE #3 Marron Glace released fall 2013 because it was unfortunately bland looking :(

Coffret D'Or 3D Glossy Eyes Part II

The Japanese brands have been really lacking lately so I started revisiting my older goodies. Somehow, I stumbled onto the Coffret D'Or 3D Glossy Eyes limited edition palettes 06 Gold Khaki and 07 Platinum Wine! I missed these when they first came out so you bet I snapped them up!

Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream

After two whole months I'm finally *almost* finished with this 8mL jar of Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream! This is a new brand for me and I got this as a freebie from Sephora last year. To my surprise it's a Korean brand (note the Made in Korea printed on the jar too), neato!

Now the only mystery left is to figure out the brand name Atopalm - what it means and how they came up with it, because their US website doesn't explain it at all. Why do I care about the name? Because Atopalm makes me think = Atom bomb + Napalm. Absolutely not something I want to put on my face. The irony here is that the brand is marketed towards people with sensitive skin too ^.^"

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Makeup-up Removing Micelle Solution

Almost half way through with this gigantic 500mL bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H2O Makeup-up Removing Micelle Solution, so I guess it's about time to review it. As usual, I'm late to the party, in this case, the micellar water party. It was all the rage when I was still in Japan back in 2012 and I never really give it any thoughts because, well, it's Japan and everything cost 3x as it should. Fast forward 2 years and I got a deal for BOGO for $22! Sold.
