Precious Garden Hand Cream Part III

Last fall, Julia, a reader, surprised me with an enormous care package from Tokyo with many of my favorite things: Daiso masking tapes in cute prints, green rooibos tea, hand cream, snacks, and new lippies she thought I'd like but haven't tried because she hasn't seen any reviewed on this blog. I'm so lucky to have such thoughtful, kind, and generous friends! Thank you, thank you, Julia!



Among the goodies was this 70g tube of Precious Garden Hand Cream in the Relaxing Flower scent, which is what I'm reviewing in this post.

Kiehl's Richly Hydrating Hand Cream Part II

Woops, almost finished this tube of Kiehl's Richly Hydrating Hand Cream so here's a quick review. Can you guess why this tube in the Coriander scent is the last to be used? What an odd scent for a hand cream, right?

Origins Eye Doctor

A few weeks ago I finished the backup jar of Belif Moisturizing and Firming Eye Cream (received in swap with Caty, a reader--thank you, Caty!) and promptly got started on the full size 15mL/0.5fl. oz. of Origins Eye Doctor as part of my daytime routine.

Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50+ PA++++

After Biore UV Perfect Face Milk, I'm finally finally through with the last of the Biore UV Milk line with this 30mL (pink) bottle Perfect Bright Milk.

The one I'm using is the 2015 formula. The whole line was repackaged in 2017, and as of a couple of weeks ago, has again been reformulated and repackaged.

Nature Republic Forest Garden Cleansing Oil

After finishing up The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil Runny Rich, I begrudgingly moved on to this 200mL pump bottle of Nature Republic Forest Garden Cleansing Oil Olive, not because I wanted to but because the bottle was leaking so badly. I know, two grumpy posts in a row, but I promise this post won't be as ranty as the previous :P

Boscia Tsubaki Splash Mask

Long time no mask! It might have been a couple of years now since I last used a mask of any kind, not because I don't want to but because I have zero time. When my little one started school a few weeks ago, I had a few minutes to reorganize my stash and happened upon this 55mL/1.85fl. oz. pump bottle of Boscia Tsubaki Splash Mask, which has now been discontinued so please excuse another useless (and ranty--you've been warned) post ^.^"

Happy Lunar New Year!

Finally finally finished Konnyaku Sabon Facial Cleansing Soap Tokyo Bamboo Charcoal a couple of weeks ago and moved on to this 200mL/6.7fl oz. pump bottle of Jurlique Replenishing Foaming Cleanser. Good thing too, because it's expiring in a couple of months :X

Chef Zhao Kitchen, Palo Alto

On our first trip to Mountain View, we had a mini reunion with college friends whom we haven't seen for over a decade. We kept in touch via email and social media, sure, but this was the first time we all sat down together in person, had a meal, and caught up with each other's life. Knowing Chef Zhao's Kitchen would be busy, I called weeks ahead for a reservation and, boy, was I glad I did. It was a week night and there was a long line out the door at 6pm.
