Hubby's almost done with this 9.6g/0.34oz. tube of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAir Cream so here's a quick post for it. After he finished the jar of Komenuka Bijin Komenuka + Collagen Deep Moisture Jell Cream for me (he didn't love it either, his favorite so far is Kiku-Masamune Kome and Hakko Moisture Gel), I gave him the sample tube of Coconut Water Cream to try. He liked the texture but hated the scent, and so I gave him this BarriAir tube instead.

After finishing the travel size bottle of L'Occitane Aromachologie Intensive Repair Shampoo, I moved on to this 60mL/2fl. oz. bottle of Philip B Forever Shine Shampoo, another freebie from a recent Beauty Habit order.

Fresh Soy Face Cleansing Milk

I was happy to receive this 20mL/6fl. oz. GWP tube of Soy Face Cleansing Milk. Finally, something new, because I was getting bored with many a tube of Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. Sorry, I sound like a spoiled brat, I know, but I have little, if any, attention span when it comes to products and so I'm always looking to try new stuff.

Kosas Cosmetics Weightless Lip Color

I first saw Kosas Cosmetics on Insta some time ago, last year perhaps. For the life of me I can't remember who it was, but the blogger said Kosasport LipFuel was her favorite lip balm ever. She then went on to liken the formula of the balm to those of high-end Japanese brands like Suqqu. I sure was intrigued, but not enough to dive into a new brand. So when I got a GWP mini 1.5g tube of Weightless Lip Color in Rosewater from a recent Beauty Habit order, I was excited to try it.

Decorte Makeup Coffret II

After the Cosme Decorte AQMW Makeup Coffret VI that was released for the 2017 holidays season, I wasn't planning on getting anymore from Decorte. That was, until the Makeup Coffret II released for the 2019 holidays season caught my eyes with its striking metallic red packaging. This coffret featured a Lasting Gel Eyeliner RD402, an Eye Glow Gem PK891, a Powder Blush M PK805, and The Rouge RD459, all of which are wearable for me, so I picked it up.

L'Occitane Aromachologie Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner

My littlest one turned 5 weeks old yesterday, and that meant no more sponge baths with just a wet washcloth. It was shower time with his papa now. He hated the sponge baths and loves the shower, especially when his papa slowly runs the water stream through his hair. Not to be left out of the fun, my toddler insisted on jumping in with his papa and his baby brother, because as soon as papa was done rinsing off the baby, the shower became a bubble bath for him to splash around with.

The nightly shower and subsequent bath with the boys resulted in hubby relocating the bottle of Tsubaki Smooth Shampoo to the kids' bathroom, which means I'm free to sample around with the many shampoo and conditioner travel sizes. Let's face it, we won't be traveling anywhere soon, even without the pandemic. These sample bottles are just piling up in my cabinet, so why not use them?

I started with the 35mL/1.18fl. oz. pair of L'Occitane Aromachologie Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. They were from the Repair and Glow Necessities gift set I got as GWP with an order last year (or was it the year before, I don't remember...).

Butaiya UV Proof Brilliant Loose Powder SPF50 PA+++

So it's mid-June, a good three months since the country's gone on lock-down thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. Understandably, folks are eager to get back to the way things were, the "normal" life so to speak. Some are taking things into their own hands and move on with life as if the virus had "gone away" when it merely had "gone around."

My flavor of desperation is to try new sunscreen powders even when I know I'll have even fewer chances than before to actually use them. This 8g jar of Butaiya UV Proof Brilliant Loose Powder is among the few newbies acquired this season. I haven't heard of Butaiya before and this is the first product I've tried from the brand.

I decided I hate the whiff of alcohol from the Estee Lauder Nutritious Vitality8 Night Radiant Overnight Detox Concentrate enough to put it away in favor of this lighter, and much better smelling, 30mL/1fl. oz. spray bottle of Nutritious Vitality8 Radiant Energy Mist.

Afternoon Tea at the Brown Palace Hotel, Denver, Part II

One midday Sunday last fall, hubby and I were nostalgic for those spectacular afternoon tea sessions in Tokyo, so we dragged ourselves downtown Denver to find something close to make do with. We first stopped by a small tea room near his old company's office. Of course, of all the days we picked there was a demonstration downtown that day and the small tea room was totally full with an hour wait time. So off to the Brown Palace Hotel we went, and we got the last table too!
