RMK Irresistible Bright Lips Part II

The disastrous second try with the RMK Irresistible Glow Lips got me wary with my three new Irresistible Bright Lips, 03 Coral Red, 06 Natural Rose, and 07 Deep Rose. 02 Pink Red was already ho-hum, and I kept hanging on to the thought that there could be another color(s) that might turn my opinion around on these lippies.

RMK Irresistible Glow Lips Part II

The successes of the initial RMK Irresistible Glow Lips plus the recent W Irresistible Lips 04 Deep Red emboldened me to try two more Glow Lips: 02 Baby Pink and 11 Innocent Pink. I also picked up three other Bright Lips, 03 Coral Red, 06 Natural Rose, and 07 Deep Rose. Will review these next.

Face Stockholm Lipstick Part III

I've been eyeing these Face Stockholm Lipsticks in the Veil finish for a very long time, since trying their collaboration with J.Crew in the color French Martini back in 2014 in fact. I didn't indulge until now that my routine has whittled down to a mere dusting of sunscreen powder and a quick swipe of lipstick, if even that. Blushes are rare treats.

This past Independence Day, there was a promotion for 25% off, so I jumped on it and picked up Veil Cranberry, Veil Friendship, Veil Raspberry, and Veil Rod.

Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist Part VI

Back in May, one week before my little one's surprise arrival I was able to snatch up three more Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist in 01 春音 (Haruoto), 04 蔓苔桃 (Tsurukokemomo), and 11 飴色 (Ameiro). I couldn't get to them until now, but considering it's only been 2+ months since I received them I consider these photos an accomplishment ^.^"

DHC Premium Lipstick GE

While browsing around, I saw that DHC is discontinuing both the Moisture Care Lipsticks as well as these Premium Lipstick GE's. I'd read great things about the Premium Lipsticks so I thought I'd give them a try now that they're at half retail. I ended up picking OR112 Bold Persimmon, RD109 Velvety Red, and RS107 Rich Raspberry.

RMK W Irresistible Lips

I stumbled onto RMK W Irresistible Lips in 04 Deep Red purely by accident. It's a LE from a rather old collection, so the lippie is not exactly fresh. Thanks to my friend J., I've been kind of obsessed with dark lip colors, wine, blackberry, etc., think vampire lips, so I took a chance and bought it anyway (don't be nutty like me, folks...). It was a small comfort that it arrived still sealed in manufacturer's shrink wrap. Ha. ^.^"

Hada-Labo Shirojyun Hyaluron Clear Essence Jelly

This past winter, I'd really enjoyed using Aqualabel All-in-One Whitening Jelly Essence, so having finished Kuramoto Bijin Hakumai Fermented All-in-One Milk, I moved on to a competitor product, the 200mL bottle of Hada-Labo Shirojyun Hyaluron Clear Essence Jelly.

I spared Hada-Labo from the "copycat" label because while the two products are nearly identical, Hada-Labo didn't try to mimic Aqualabel's packaging and name the same way the generic brand ABS did with both Hada-Labo and Oshima Tsubaki with the intent to mislead.

Canmake Melty Smooth Oil Gloss

When Citrine reviewed this Canmake Melty Smooth Oil Gloss in 03 Strawberry Red back in April, I immediately thought of Integrate Sakura Drop Essence Sakuranbo and gave it a try. There are two other "colors" available, 01 Clear and 02 Pure Pink, but I think Canmake has discontinued this gloss as I don't see it on their website. It's still available on e(vil)bay.

Here's my most recent Canmake order via Rakuten JP: the new Balm Rouge Tints T01 Little Anemone, T02 Happy Tulip, and T03 Ruby Carnation, the new Cream Cheek Tints 01 Fresh Pop Melon, 02 Happy Strawberry, and LE 03 Peony Mellow, and Cream Cheek 15 Antique Milk Rose. There's also a Cream Cheek Clear Series CL09 Clear Raspberry Gelato that's not pictured as it arrived in a separate package. Will review these later when time permits. Sofina Makeup Cleansing Oil

My pre-scheduled daily posts have finally ran their course, which means I can't hit pause to squeeze in a review or two whenever time allowed and then resume again, which means posts will be more sporadic going forward. I'll do my best to keep posting as often as I can ^.^

I've had two 20mL sample bottles of Sofina Makeup Cleansing Oil for a while now but had been saving them for travel. And then of course when I did travel, I opted for single-use packets of DHC Mild Touch Cleansing Oil instead, purely for convenience's sake. DHC Mild Touch (discontinued, by the way!) can be used dry or wet, and single-use packets are much easier to store and carry without risks of spilling. Now that the little one's here, hubby and I won't be traveling for a while so I should use up these travel sizes before they get too old and stale.

Suqqu Extra Glow Lipstick Part V

It's safe to say I love Suqqu Extra Glow Lipstick also, both the formula and the colors released so far. I've only skipped a few here and there, but those I have I truly enjoy. Some are quite bright, yes, but they're still wearable and never tacky. Let's hope these will stick around for a while, because a brand new line of Moisture Rich Lipsticks to be released in the fall does not bode well for the Creamy Glow/Moist :( After all, Suqqu did away with the Bright Ups when these Extra Glows were released.

After much stalking, I was able to get a hold of the constantly sold out 02 秋薔薇 (Akibara) Chic Rose and 08 深紅 (Fukabeni) Crimson Red, and the UK LE 104 艶柘榴 (Tsuyazakuro) Pink and 105 浜橙 (Hamadaidai) Orange.

Koyudo Brushes Part XI

Spent the last of my CDJapan points (not affiliated) on these Koyudo brushes, because I just can't stay away from Koyudo no matter how hard I tried. I got a backup of fu-pa01, the Soft Version, a Flat Top Kabuki Brush, and indulged in one Somell Garden Lemon x Walnut Face Brush.

Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist Part V

I was dead serious when I said I wanted Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist in all the colors. Here are 02 胡桃色 (Kurumiiro) and 10 優珊瑚 (Yuusango). When I find a formula I love, my *hoard drive* kicks in and I just have to collect them all like I did with Lavshuca Dramatic Memory Rouge and Lipstick Queen Saints to name a couple.

Hakuhodo Brushes Part III

Being in Japan made me instantly regret all the Hakuhodo brushes I've ever purchased from Hakuhodo USA--they allow few custom choices, whereas in Japan there are numerous handle-length, colors, and finishes, not to mention the limited edition releases. Check out these shorter handles in a gorgeous and shimmery antique gold finish!


By the way, I haven't mentioned this before but I find the Hakuhodo naming system super confusing. Pretty much every other brush belongs to at least two different collections, like the B/J004 for example, same brush head, same hair type! I don't understand. Can anyone shed some light on why this is?

Clinique Chubby Stick Part IV

Back in April, I was browsing Sephora and spotted these Clinique x Crayola LE Chubby Sticks that were part of the 2017 spring releases. They were mostly the original sheer colors with just a few Intense, all were on sale for half price! I do like my Chubbies very much and am trying to convert my sister also, so I nabbed the sheers and left the Intenses alone.

Caudalie Divine Oil

It's gotten so hot that I struggled to finish up my giant tub of Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter. At the same time, my dry skin still desperately needs the moisture. For a while I went back to my trusty summer body oil--Yanagiya Anzu Oil--only to find it too is a tad too heavy for the hot weather here. Frustrating, isn't it?

Then I remembered I have two 15mL/0.5fl. oz. deluxe sample bottles of Caudalie Divine Oil, one from a GWP trio that included a 30mL/1fl. oz. tube of Miel de Vigne Hand Cream I reviewed a while back, and the other from the Sephora Favorites 2015 Skin Wonderland kit an angel sent me while I was still in Tokyo.
