In late August Lipstick Queen ran a promotion with the Hall of Fame Set half off, which includes Medieval, Jean Queen, and Butterfly Ball Float. You already know how much I love both Medieval and all Butterfly Ball lipsticks in general. Since I've been eyeing Jean Queen for ages, this set pretty much had my name on it and I snatched it up in a heartbeat ^.^
All pictures taken in natural light without flash.
Since I've already reviewed 2 out of 3 of these lipsticks, I'll just get straight to the point: I absolutely love this set and will definitely buy another when the time comes. Now I just have to work on collecting more Saint Lipsticks and a few others like Endless Summer and Bete Noire Sheer.
- Medieval: also in the Chic in Three Shades Trio. So happy to have a backup of this because I'm half way through my current tube now!
- Jean Queen: This is another standalone lipstick line with just one color, a shimmer-free neutral pink that supposedly pairs well with denim. But let's just say that even before seeing the lipstick color, I fell head over heels in love with the gorgeous metallic blue tube. Having read so many raves for Jean Queen, I had high expectations and it does not disappoint. This is indeed a super wearable neutral pink. Now I don't know whether this color pairs well with jeans, but I love it regardless!
So far, each lipstick line I've tried from Lipstick Queen has had a different texture, and with the exception of the Sinner and Metal lipsticks I'm having a hard time picking a favorite otherwise. Despite some differences, I really do love them all, and I'm so so happy to have found yet another formula that totally floored me. Jean Queen's not as balmy as Medieval. It's thinner than the Saints but is thicker than the Butterfly Balls. Best of all, it glides on my lips as if is butter! And yes, just like the others it leaves a glossy finish and is super moisturizing and long-lasting. Wow! I'm so in love right now!
- Butterfly Ball Float: also in the Butterfly Kisses Set. I gave this extra stick to my gal-pal J. whose first reaction upon trying was that, "It feels like lip balm!" Yes, it's like lip-balm-but-better ^.^
Medieval, Jean Queen, and Butterfly Ball Float.
Here's a comparison of Jean Queen, Butterfly Ball Smitten, Saint Pink, and Saint Pinky Nude. Smitten is coral, Saint Pink is cooler and slightly deeper, and Saint Pinky Nude is lighter and slightly warmer. I promise did not doctor these photos. It was pure luck, a
combination of good lighting and a really good moisturized-skin day.

I will have to stalk the Lipstick Queen site now. I've actually cleaned up my lipstick collection, so I feel like there's room for some wearable new inhabitants now.
