'Tis the Season of Giving - Asian Brands

Updated Friday, February 24, 2017.

Blog sale for charity final update.

------------------------------------------

Long post ahead.

Hubby and I are going to move again in eight months' time, this time just across town, at least that's to my knowledge. We've learned to *not* double down on our words because every time we say we're staying somewhere for a while, we ended up moving the next year.

The biggest reason for our next move being:

Yes, there's a tiny one coming and we now need a shoe-box for three.

So I'm letting go of a substantial portion of my collection.

After moving so many time, I've realized I've missed out on the vast majority of my collection because I can only take so much with me. Since I haven't been around to enjoy them, I thought someone else might be.

IMPORTANT:
1. All sales are final. No returns or exchanges.
2. All proceeds will go to charity:
- The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). See their ratings.
- The National Resources Defense Council (NRDC). See their ratings.
- Doctors Without Borders, aka (MSF, Médecins Sans Frontières). See their ratings.
3. Paypal payments in USD only.

ORDERING DETAILS:
1. To order, please leave a comment and spell out your email address (to avoid spam). I will contact you privately.
2. All orders will be sent via USPS Flat-rate boxes with tracking and insurance. I hold no responsibilities for lost packages.
3. Shipping fee varies.
- Domestic: Small ($6.80), Medium ($13.45), Large ($18.75).
- International: we'll work something out privately.
4. My home is smoke and pet-free.
5. My collection is housed in a wooden craft cabinet placed in a cool and dry corner of my bedroom.
6. All items will be sent in a cosmetic bag chosen at random.
7. Eyeshadow palettes and face powders are without applicators, brushes, or puffs. I use my own brushes and have long given away the others. If you need them, please indicate so and I'll include new/unused ones at random.

Let's get on to the good stuff. Click on images to zoom. Follow links for reviews and swatches.

Holika Holika Midnight Owl

After Holika Holika released the Hello Holika Chic Blushers, they released these Midnight Owl compacts in 2 colors, #1 Bright Owl, a highlighter, and #2 Shy Owl, a blush. The #1 Bright Owl looked a bit funky for me and plus I already have too many highlighters, so I went with just #2 Shy Owl. This was a couple of years ago though, and only recently did I finally dig them out of my moving boxes. Sigh.

Holika Holika Strawberry Pore Magic Cover Powder SPF50+ PA+++

This 10g pot of Holika Holika Strawberry Pore Magic Cover Powder SPF50+ PA+++ is another old release of summer 2011 and was available up until early 2014, I think, when it was discontinued. It's mostly sold out everywhere, because, well, I mean, look at it, it's freakin' cute! Anyway, I got mine from Amazon because even E(vil)bay was sold out!

Holika Holika Hello Holika Chic Blusher

These Holika Holika Hello Holika Chic Blusher have been out for a long time, since the spring of 2011, I believe, although they're still available! There are 2 palettes available, #1 Breeze Kitten and #2 Twinkling Kitten. I actually bought both a couple of years ago, but they were packed away in many a moving boxes and I'm still slowly digging things out. So here they are, finally! Also, there was a limited edition(?) Merry Holika All Over Face Powder but I missed that one, obviously :(

Holika Holika Holy Berry Tint

The third lip tint I've tried (and probably the last now that I have backups of TonyMoly Delight Tony Tint ^.^)  is Holika Holika Holy Berry Tint. It comes in three colors, 1 Strawberry, 2 Raspberry, and 3 Orange Berry.

Whereas the TonyMoly tints are gel and Holika Holika Pure Mellow Moisture Tint are light creams, these Holy Berry Tint are a watery runny formula, yes, as in they will drip. In fact, it's kind of unnerving looking at them in the clear plastic tubes - they look like watered down food coloring. Why am I dabbing this stuff onto my lips again? They have fuzzy doe foot applicators, and all have a pleasant berry scent.

Holika Holika Pure Mellow Moisture Tint

Next up in my Korean lip stains adventure is the Holika Holika Pure Mellow Moisture Tint. I've read they're pretty decent, and since I struck gold with TonyMoly Delight Tony Tint I figured I could try my luck again with these. There are 4 colors available, 01 Pink, 02 Orange, 03 Coral, and 04 Red. But when I made my purchase, 04 Red was sold out everywhere, so I only have the first 3 colors. Just recently though I was able to find 04 Red so I'll review it separately later.

Holika Holika Heartful Glossy Lipstick

These Holika Holika Heartful Glossy Lipsticks are my first Korean lipsticks and I was pretty excited to try them! Sure, I've had the SkinFood Fresh Fruit Lip & Cheek for a few years now, but I use them exclusively for my cheeks so they don't count :P Actually, in my experience, pretty much anything that says for lips and cheeks are almost always better on the cheeks than on the lips, especially if you have perpetually dry lips like me. Some of my favorites include Stila Convertible Color (just got 4 new colors, will review later ^.^) and Canmake Whip Mousse Lips.

There are actually 3 different lines of these lipsticks: Heartful MoistureHeartful Glossy, with Heartful Silky being the newest. I've read that the Heartful Moisture lipsticks are pretty opaque and provide moderate to full coverage, whereas the Heartful Glossy are sheerer with a glossy finish (my kind of lipsticks!), and...I'm not so sure what the Heartful Silky are all about LOL!

Within the Heartful Glossy line, there are 7 colors available, but I only picked 6. The first color, 01 Honey Beige looks too beige/nude/brown so I skipped it, only getting 02 PK122 Humming Pink, CR302 Blushing Peach, 04 PK123 Pink Bonbon, 05 CR303 Forever Coral, 06 RD303 Coco Red, and 07 PK124 Smoky Pink.

Holika Holika Fitting Veil Eye Primer SPF15 PA+

I was looking into Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer, and while at it I also picked up a few more eye primers from other Korean brands, you know for variety's sake ^.^ Among those is Holika Holika Fitting Veil Eye Primer SPF15 PA+
