Caudalie Divine Oil Part II

Years ago I tried a deluxe size of this Caudalie Divine Oil and liked it enough to pick up the 100mL/3.4fl. oz. full size eventually. Now that I'm almost done with this full size, here's a quick post to report that I still love the dry-oil texture that's not at all greasy but still moisturizes well. The scent is still the same and it's divine. Truly a luxurious product, in the bottle or on my skin. Will probably repurchase with a good promotion.

Utena Yuzu Hair Oil Mist

I finished the bottle of La Granature Hair Oil Mist and was eager to try this 160mL refill pouch of Utena Yuzu Hair Oil Mist so I poured it into the empty spray bottle for Yanagiya Anzu Oil Hair Toning Lotion because the La Granature bottle wasn't big enough.

Deep Relax 6 Botanical Essence Water

Along with La Granature Hair Oil Mist, this 250mL spray bottle of Deep Relax 6 Botanical Essence Water is another lazy-day leave-in conditioner I've been using for the past few months.

La Granature Hair Oil Mist

Been using this 100mL spray bottle of La Granature Hair Oil Mist for a couple of months now and am liking it OK.

Back in the fall of 2019, I was still pregnant with my littlest one and realized I wouldn't have time for conditioner once he was born, and so I started to stock up what I consider "lazy conditioners," as in hair water, essence, basically leave-in conditioners that I could just apply to, or better yet, spray-on my wet hair after getting out of the shower and call it a day. This La Granature Hair Oil Mist was among the several items I picked up from Amazon Japan.

Shikioriori Tsubaki Hair Essence Water

When I bought this 250mL spray bottle of Shikioriori Tsubaki Hair Essence Water, I just thought to try a new leave-in hair conditioner for my lazy nights, which is sadly most nights ^.^" I didn't expect to like it as much as I do.

A few months ago, I picked out this hair water and a few other new shampoo sets from Rakuten JP. Along with a bunch of other stuff like sunscreens, snacks, dried soups, etc., I had the store sent my big box via surface mail (funabin, aka ocean freight), which usually takes 2-3 months and almost always arrived a little beat up, because that was just how ocean freight rolled ^.^" You tape stuff up and you wrap them well if you don't want them arrived all banged up, because they will be.

Yanagiya Anzu Oil Hair Toning Lotion

A few weeks ago, at long last I finished the bottle of Oshima Tsubaki Hair Water I brought home from Tokyo (gee, only took me, like, 4 years =.="). This made me really happy because I could finally, finally try that 170mL bottle of Yanagiya Anzu Oil Hair Toning Lotion., which I also brought home from Tokyo. Both hair waters are readily available on Rakuten, by the way.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

Half way through this 15mL/0.5fl. oz. dropper bottle of Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil from the Whimsical Wonder Argan Oil Skincare Essentials Set bought last winter (or was it the winter before last?). From this set, I've also reviewed the Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter.

Caudalie Divine Oil

It's gotten so hot that I struggled to finish up my giant tub of Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter. At the same time, my dry skin still desperately needs the moisture. For a while I went back to my trusty summer body oil--Yanagiya Anzu Oil--only to find it too is a tad too heavy for the hot weather here. Frustrating, isn't it?

Then I remembered I have two 15mL/0.5fl. oz. deluxe sample bottles of Caudalie Divine Oil, one from a GWP trio that included a 30mL/1fl. oz. tube of Miel de Vigne Hand Cream I reviewed a while back, and the other from the Sephora Favorites 2015 Skin Wonderland kit an angel sent me while I was still in Tokyo.

Kuramoto Bijin Komeyu Beauty Oil

In anticipation for the inevitable pregnancy belly-streeetch that comes with major itching and stretchmarks, I'd come home armed with two 60g tubes of YuSkin A Family Medical Cream (aka Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream). Once home, in addition to dabbing these creams on my face wherever it feels dry, I'd use the cream on my elbows, knees, and feet. And once I hit the 8-weeks mark, I started massaging the stuff all over my then still-flat belly. Because preventative care. Waiting until the itching and the stretchmarks to come would be too late, right?

I kept telling you it's super dry where I live but I know it's hard to imagine, so here's some quantification: I went through one 60g tube within 2 weeks, just massaging the cream onto my belly once every night right after the shower. Woah. O.O

I panicked and reordered more. A lot more. Like a 260g pump bottle plus a 260g refill, for a total of 520g more of this stuff. But you know what's crazy? I'm 32+ weeks along now and have already finished one 260g, moving on to the backup tube of 60g before busting open the second 260g! Holy crap, it's so dry here! And you know what's even crazier? About a month ago when I was 28+ weeks along, I got some belly itching anyway. Woah. O.O
***Stock photos from Amazon JP.

If the super thick and moisturizing YuSkin A wasn't enough to keep my belly from itching, what options do I have left? Slather on shortening? Cork grease? That was when I remembered my stash includes a 60mL bottle of Kuramoto Bijin Komeyu Beauty Oil.

Yanagiya Anzu Oil

I first bought this Yanagiya Anzu (apricot) Oil back in 2012 before I left Japan, only to give it away upon getting home. So having finished up the copy-cat ABS Tsubaki Abura 100% Camellia Oil, I picked up another bottle along with Anzu Oil Hair Treatment Water (not sure if I'll ever to this hair water, since Oshima Tsubaki Hair Water will likely last me through to the next year).

Bottle bought in 2012.

Bottle bought in 2015.

ABS Tsubaki Abura 100% Camellia Oil

In a hurry, I grabbed what I thought was an 85mL bottle of Oshima Tsubaki Oil, because it's drier and colder now and my hair and skin are both withering up like nobody's business. Then I got home and got to work taking a few quick photos so I could try out my new goodies right away that night. It wasn't until I reached for this bottle after my shower that I realized something wasn't quite right--what I bought wasn't Oshima Tsubaki Oil at all!

Turns out I bought a generic copy-cat, ABS Tsubaki Abura 100% Camellia Oil! Check out the original Oshima Tsubaki (left) and the generic ABS (right).

Oshima Tsubaki Hair Water Part II

Three years after getting the freebie 20mL travel size of Oshima Tsubaki Hair Water, I finally bought the 180mL full size, among a couple of other things (Nivea Premium Body Serum and ABS Tsubaki Abura 100% Camellia Oil, will review next).

I have to say this hair water is definitely better than the competing (Shiseido) Tsubaki Tsubaki Water! I use them both the same way: just one single spray on wet hair right after the shower, towards the end-tips and not the roots or anywhere near the scalp, because I have an oily scalp.

This Oshima version is unscented, and it's much lighter and keeps my hair much less oily. Whereas the Shiseido Tsubaki version is heavily perfumed and gets my hair oily the very next morning. Enough said.

See my previous Oshima Tsubaki Hair Water post.

HABA Squalane Beauty Oil 15mL

This 15mL HABA Squalane Beauty Oil is another freebie I got from their Non-Additivism Mook released summer 2012 while I was still in Japan. I dug this out in April when my skin got really dry and flaky and used it as a daytime moisturizer, although this is oil is not restricted to facial use. It is multi-purpose, actually more like all-purpose and you can use it anywhere on your body, hair included.

Ichikami Moisture Hair Treatment

It's been 9 months and I'm finally done with this 100g tube of Ichikami Moisture Hair Treatment! It came from the Ichikami Moisture Set I bought back in March, and hubby and I have since gone through that bottle of Moisture Shampoo, the Soft and Smooth Shampoo, a 400L refill of Super Mild, and currently finishing up another refill of Macherie Moisture Shampoo.

Tsubaki Tsubaki Water

Wow, November is almost over already, eeps! Sorry I've been neglecting on posting, having my behinds royally kicked with classes and such. Today is the last day of class and exams are in 2 weeks, so I should be able to post something between now and then ^.^

Let's start (again) with this Tsubaki Tsubaki Water. I got this 250mL spray bottle from the Tsubaki LE Shining Water Gift Set at Don Quixote last summer. It's basically a spray on and leave in hair conditioner, which I usually stay away because they tend to weigh my hair down the next day and make it oily and greasy. But I've been using this for the past couple of months and it's actually very nice!
