Half way through this 15mL/0.5fl. oz. dropper bottle of Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil from the Whimsical Wonder Argan Oil Skincare Essentials Set bought last winter (or was it the winter before last?). From this set, I've also reviewed the Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter.
This argan oil is quite thick, thicker than Oshima Tsubaki Oil even. However, the argan oil is also surprisingly dry, as in once massaged in I don't feel it on my skin at all. It absorbs rather quickly, leaving behind zero greasiness and not even my hands feel oily afterwards. There's no discernible scent.
I prefer using this oil on -ahem- my belly and my butt. I've tried it on my face and while two drops were adequately moisturizing and didn't turn me oily in the morning, I didn't love it and much prefer Cici Care Rose Oil Placenta Cream for the lighter texture before going to bed.
On my belly and my butt though, the argan oil is great. I warm some in my palms before applying and so far so good. That said, I do need to use a lot, as in 15 drops for both areas, which is eyebrow-raising considering it's oil. I started out with 5 drops but that wasn't enough, even increasing to 10 drops wasn't enough, and so 15 it is.
Overall, I do like how dry and fast absorbing the oil is, but considering how much of it I have to use (a 50mL full size bottle goes for $48), may be it's just not an economical body oil.

I just bought the balm (orange) and indigo balm from Mahalo Care. It is from Hawaii.
Love the Indigo Blue more but love both. I think you will like it. I have no affiliation with the company.
Bought it for done dark spots resulting from the son. Fades pretty well.
I am the one who read your blog, because you lived in SF, and you write about Japanese makeup.
Hope to see reviews on Suqqu soon.
Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for recommending these balms from Mahalo Care! I'll give these balms a try once I whittle down my lineup--it's getting a bit long ^.^"
And I'm dying to play with my new Suqqu goodies soon too. As it stands my free time is subjected to baby's approval LOL I'll get there eventually. Hopefully. Thank you for reading my blog for so long.
Cheers,
D.
