This Snack Time post has gotten way too long so I thought I'd better get it out there before it gets lost in my draft folder.

Spices & Seasonings Part II
This Spices & Seasonings post is 2+ years in the making. I kept pushing it off because I wanted to catch up on the skincare and makeup (what makeup?) posts. But alas, I won't ever catch up so here's this post, finally ^.^"
For the past couple of years, I've been obsessed with this Yuzu Marmalade from Yakami Orchard. So, so, sooo good and not too sweet. That crisp yuzu fragrance and taste is just addicting. It pretty much replaced all other jams and preserves for me even if I'm the only one in the family who eats it (hubby and the boys still prefer raspberry and strawberry jams). It's just delicious on buttered toasts, to sweeten teas, and even on pizza crusts ^.^ There are 2 sizes available, a smaller 300g jar which lasts me about 1-2 weeks, so now I only buy the big 580g jar which lasts a good deal longer. Oh, did I mention it's available through Amazon? Yeah. That makes it super easy. I usually buy 2-3 big jars at a time.
This is the smaller 300g jar next to Momoya Chili Oil with Fried Garlic.

The Capital Grille, Denver
The Capital Grille in Denver is another "special-occasions" spot hubby and I sometimes visit. It's a chain, yes, a high-end steak house like Ruth Chris, and in case you're wondering, there isn't a Ruth Chris in Colorado :P

Oak at Fourteen, Boulder
Update Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
More food pics from Oak at Fourteen.

--------------------------------------------
Original post Monday, May 4, 2020.
Oak at Fourteen is relatively new to our local food scene--they opened in 2010. Even then, hubby and I didn't start frequenting the place until 2016, after we'd moved home from Tokyo. But boy, once we started going, we couldn't help but kept going--the food was fantastic! Like Brasserie Ten Ten, we've never had a bad meal here. Sure, we liked some dishes more so than others, but overall it was always a great meal that left us wanting more. So we kept coming back.
Valentine's Day 2017. I was about 7 months along with my first little one here.
Valentine's Day 2018.
Sample menu, which changed every 1-2 months, I think. They did special course meals for special occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. too. In fact, they have a 4-course menu for this coming Mother's Day ^.^ Whee!!! Yep, they're still open for curbside takeouts, although with a limited menu.

Hubby was partial to their whisky menu (he's a bit of a whisky nut), and I really liked that their non-alcoholic options were actually tasty!

Snooze, Westminster location
Snooze serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch only, and it's a chain, but I don't care. Depends on location, the place can get rather obnoxiously loud and rowdy--the Boulder location was always packed with college students, for example. Thankfully, the location hubby and I frequented had more of a lively family atmosphere. Either way, there was always a huge line outside the door, especially on weekends. If there was a holiday, getting a table could be a 2-3hrs ordeal.
The Boulder location's inside decor.
No matter: food is great, and thankfully they're still open for takeouts and delivery.

Update Tuesday, April 28, 2020
I'll keep updating this post as I slowly get through more food pics ^.^

Original post Sunday, April 25, 2020
This food tribute post to Brasserie Ten Ten of Boulder, Colorado, is long, long, long overdue, because hubby and I have been dining here since our college days. Yes, nearly 20 years. Way to feel old, huh? ^.^
