IsQueen Rice High Performance Eye Gel

After finishing up my sample of Bliss Fabulous Every Day Eye Cream (lasted me a month!), I moved on to another generous sample I had of IsQueen Rice High Performance Eye Gel. This came in a large square sachet that more than half filled my reusable mini 5mL jar of Lancome Secret de Vie from last year!

This is how much I have left after 2 weeks of generous daily use ^.^

This is a super light weight eye gel that is thicker in texture than Bliss but still absorbs quickly and leaves behind no traces of greasiness. I find it adequately moisturizing and, like Bliss, it keeps my sunscreen in the humidity and does not crease my eye makeup. It is scented with a soft and mild flowery powder fragrance that I actually enjoy.

That said, the weather has cooled within the past week and I'm now anxious to finish it up so I can move on to a more moisturizing eye gel. I have yet another nicely sized sample sachet of Komenuka Bijin Eye Moisture Jell lined up for a while now and I can't wait to get my hands on it ^.^ I know, I get bored way too easily.

IsQueen Miracle Lifting Night Waterpack

This is a pack of 3 cute travel size trio of IsQueen Miracle Night Waterpack line, which I got as a GWP when I bought the full size Miracle Renewal Night Waterpack.

This little set includes the Acne Night Waterpack (left, pink), Lifting Night Waterpack (middle, cream), and Renewal Night Waterpack (right, sea foam green). Since I was already using the Renewal Waterpack and I don't have any use for the Acne Waterpack (actually, it might dry out my skin, even!), I thought I'd try the Lifting Waterpack instead. And what do you know, I ended liking this one much better than the Renewal Waterpack!

The Lifting Waterpack is a milky cream colored gel that's much thinner than the Renewal Waterpack, but not runny. It's also not as heavily perfumed, having a fresh clean scent I preferred over the flowery ones. The biggest selling point for me is that it's not nearly as sticky as the Renewal Waterpack while delivering similar results the next morning. My skin was soft and moisturized without any adverse reactions!

If you are looking into trying IsQueen's Miracle Night Waterpack line, I would recommend the Lifting Waterpack over the Renewal Waterpack.

IsQueen Miracle Renewal Night Waterpack

Recently I grew tired of the sheet masks (finally moving out of that phase, I guess) and busted out my waterpack/sleeping pack arsenal, including a few brand new and sealed items I haven't touched. One of them is IsQueen Miracle Renewal Night Waterpack.

The jar was packed nicely, in a pretty box sealed at top. Although it felt suspiciously light for a 50 mL jar of gel...

This cute little fan brush was inside the box. The instructions in English says to use the brush and spread a thin layer onto to skin. I didn't follow the instructions :P I knew the brush would pile on more than I wanted, and plus it would take away the fingertips massage action which, in my opinion, make applying these sleeping packs much more enjoyable. Perhaps that brush would be more suitable for a clay mask or other wash-off masks that call for a thicker layer, but probably not this. Definitely not in my case since I apply sleeping packs sparingly to avoid going to bed with a sticky face. Urgh.

So I finally discovered the reason why the box was so light - the freakin' jar was half empty when I opened it! The box was sealed on the outside, so I'm pretty sure no one got to it before I did. That means the darn jar was only half way filled when I bought it! What the hell, right? Look at the picture below - doesn't it look like I'm almost finished with it? And it was supposed to be 50 mL! I felt so ripped off! Boo. Hiss.

Anyway, so that half-empty surprise pretty much fizzled the "miracle" for me. The sleeping pack itself was okay, way too heavily scented with a strong floral, old lady perfumy scent that's a mixture of rose and some other flowers I couldn't really distinguish. The milky sea foam colored gel was actually thicker than it looks and I had to use very little or risk feeling like a walking fly trap. My skin did turn out nice and soft the next morning with no break outs or funny reactions. However, the scent and the thickness of the gel prevented me from using it more often, which is really too bad.

IsQueen Moisturizing Essence Collagen Mask

I bought IsQueen Moisturizing Essence Collagen Mask expecting at least a decent piece like IsQueen Ultramicro Aqua Deep Repairing Mask, but I was fouly disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, it started out well. I liked what I smelled...for the first few seconds. It was a light fragrance, so light and weak it was poorly masking something else very vile and...fishy. Yes, this mask reeked, not of the rancid, something-had-gone-sour smell, but of defrosted frozen shellfish. My 20 minutes felt like I had slimed myself with raw seafood. Ick. Gross. What the hell did they put in there?

Other than the unbearable stench, the paper mask is the same in material and quality as the Ultramicro Aqua Deep Repairing Mask. Afterwards, my skin wasn't sticky or oily, although I had to really really fight the urge to go wash my face as the odor lingered on even after the essence was fully absorbed.

The next morning, however, I woke up to the absolute horror of an oil spill. My face was so slick and shiny and greasy I seriously could have made French fries for breakfast. Worse, right in the middle of my forehead was a huge red cystic pimple!!! Dammit! I really should have washed it off the night before! Why the hell did I put myself through this stinkin' torture? Grr... Goes to show sometimes, patience is NOT a good thing. That's it. I swear off this mask for good. Urgh.

IsQueen Ultramicro Aqua Deep Repairing Mask

My first dab into the Chinese brand IsQueen, which claims to employ Japanese NANO technology in its skincare products. Yeah, okay, not sure what that means but if their stuff is good, I'll give it a try.

IsQueen Ultramicro Aqua Deep Repairing Mask is decent. It comes with a thick and soft quality paper, almost cloth-like, mask that is better cut than others. It is lightly scented and unoffensive. After applying the mask for 20 minutes, the results is not fantastic, but it was good and refreshing. My skin was soft and moisturized with no greasy residue the next morning. No breakouts either, which is definitely a good point.

Unfortunately, that's it though. There's nothing impressive about the mask. Definitely another case for saving my money for the Hadabisei Moisturizing Masks with Collagen.
