Biore UV Mild Care Milk SPF30 PA++

Since the beginning of June, my little one's school has been hosting a weekly Splash Day when all the kiddos come to school already in swim gears and get to splish-splash to their heart's content. Usually, for daily use I go for the easy-on-easy-off stuff, Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel for Kids, and the school requires sunscreen application prior to arrival regardless (they reapply in the afternoon too, using the All Good Kid's Sunscreen Spray SPF30, will post later). However, outdoor water play on a clear and sunny day is a whole different game, one that calls for a sunscreen that's *not* easy-off.

Enters this 120mL bottle of Biore UV Mild Care Milk SPF30 PA++, a sunscreen for kids in a more tenacious milk formula. Funny enough, I bought two each of this Mild Care Milk and a stronger Kids Milk SPF50+ PA++++, the latter of which I'm saving for longer play dates at the outdoor pool (will post later). Somehow, I was sent one each of the old and new packaging for both sunscreens xD Actually, for the Kids Milk, the bottle with the red apple was a 2018 limited edition with apple fragrance.

Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50+ PA++++

After Biore UV Perfect Face Milk, I'm finally finally through with the last of the Biore UV Milk line with this 30mL (pink) bottle Perfect Bright Milk.

The one I'm using is the 2015 formula. The whole line was repackaged in 2017, and as of a couple of weeks ago, has again been reformulated and repackaged.

Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+ PA++++

Almost done with this 30mL bottle of Biore UV Perfect Face Milk (white bottle) so here's an overdue review. I already reviewed the UV Perfect Milk (blue bottle) in the spring of 2017 and am actually looking forward to try the Bright Milk (pink bottle).

This UV Perfect Face Milk is the most recent 2015 formula. The line was repackaged in 2017 without any changes to the content so the stuff inside should be the same.

Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF50+ PA++++

Just realized I'd forgotten to post this review of Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF50+ PA++++, which I'd finished using last November.

No, it didn't take me that many months to finish a 60mL bottle. Rather, it was a combination of mixing with the 25g tube of Anessa Perfect Essence Sunscreen, all while experimenting on the side with several other half-used tubes and bottles, among them Menturm the Sun UV Watery Milk, Hada-Labo Koi-Gokujyun Perfect UV Gel, Sunkiller Perfect Strong Moisture, and Nivea Sun Protect Plus UV Creamy UV Essence.

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF50+ PA++++

Update Monday, July 18, 2016.

A couple of recent encounters at the drugstore:

1. The big size of both this Watery Gel as well as the Watery Essence new formula with SPF50+ PA++++. I bought both for hubby as he loves the lighter gel for the summer and the slightly more moisturizing essence for the fall and winter.

2. The limited edition "Cool-type" formula for both the Watery Gel and Essence. Bought the Cool-type Watery Gel for my sister. Like hubby, she prefers the lighter formula, and she also likes the tingling, cooling sensation from the added menthol, which I don't (I don't like anything unnecessary in my sunscreen).

Hubby has been a fan of Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA+++ since we discovered it back in 2012. Given my oily t-zones, it didn't work for me at all but was great for him with normal skin. Three years later and he's game to try something slightly new, this 90mL bottle of Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF50+ PA++++ ^.^

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA+++

Hubby only has 2 requirements for sunscreens. The first and most important is that he will put it on himself if and only if he cannot feel it on himself. Unfortunately, 98% of all the sunscreens out there fail this test (thank you, Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel SPF30 PA++ and Mentholatum Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel SPF32 PA+++!). The second is that the sunscreen does not require an oil cleanser to be removed, because he will not be bothered to wash his face before getting into the shower, because he is going to wash his face in the shower already. He should, but does not care much for the SPF or the PA ratings and will happily wear the same sunscreen on his face and body. His lucky butt has normal skin, which does not get oily or sweaty. He doesn't sweat much on the body either (double lucky, urgh).

My requirements for sunscreens are a bit different. On the body, SPF30 is okay since I dress conservatively to begin with. On my face, however, ever since my first venture into Japanese sunscreens, Sofina Perfect UV SPF 50 PA+++ Lucent, I have stopped settling for anything less than SPF50 PA+++ for daily use. With that in mind, I was scheming to get hubby to apply a stronger sunscreen on his face ^.^ It's incredible he is willing to put any sunscreen on himself to begin with (thank you thank you Nivea and Mentholatum!), yet here I was pushing my luck, trying to get him to use not one but two different sunscreens, one for his face and one for his body. Muahaha *evil shifty eyes, hands rubbing together* xD

So I read around on the same website with the awesome lists of best spring and summer sunscreens for 2011 and found this Best Pick post for Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA+++. It immediately made its way into my shopping basket as a test-run candidate for hubby's stronger facial sunscreen mission.

Biore Perfect Oil

After the let down that is Fasio Oil Cleansing EX, I happily moved on to this Biore Perfect Oil since it was on sale at my local drugstore. To be honest, after so many oil cleansers, unless one is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad (like Fasio) I stopped noticing the difference ^.^

That is to say this works well like an oil cleanser should. It has a really nice scent, a fruity mix of apple and peach fragrance. It's not too thick or too thin, not too slippery silicone-y either. I do notice that I have to use more of it, like 4-5 pumps for my face and underneath my chin, but this could be because the pump itself doesn't pump out that much at once. It rinses clean though and doesn't leave behind any film, at the same time doesn't make my skin squeaky either, which means it's not stripping. My face doesn't feel dry or tight afterwards, though I'd give this credit to the humidity and not so much the oil cleanser :P

That's it. Short and sweet review for a product that does what it supposed to do.
