Sisley Buff and Wash Facial Gel

Ack I kept finding posts I forgot about in the draft folder!

Finished this 10mL/0.33fl. oz. tube of Sisley Buff and Wash Facial Gel a while ago but forgot to post this review. This tube was also from the super generous package I got from Caty a couple of years back (Thank you again, Caty! Has it really been that long?!).

Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub

Finished this 100mL/3.34fl. oz. tube of Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub a few months ago but again forgot to publish the post and there it sat in the draft folder until now. Woops. This scrub was a deluxe sample size from the Lancome Skincare Essentials Collection I got from 2019 holidays season.

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser

Started on this 30mL/1oz. tube of Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser immediately after the Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream (I know, similar products with similar names, so confusing!) and am almost done with it! This tube was also from the Advent Calendar 2018

Boscia Tsubaki Oil-Infused Exfoliating Powder

Don't ask why I bought two of these 60g/2.11oz. bottles of Boscia Tsubaki Oil-Infused Exfoliating Powder, only to drag my feet when it comes to actually using them =.=

Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel

Got a 7g/0.02oz. bottle of Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel from a Sephora order a while back and have been using it since finishing the tiny tube of Astalift Moisture Foam.

The name made me curious. However, once I read the use instructions on the back and open up the bottle, it's clear this is another washing powder. As in I sprinkle some into my damp palm, wet my other hand, make a lather, and wash my face with that lather.

I'm not sure what treatment enzyme peel they're talking about, because after a week of nightly use, this feels like any other washing powder to me. It's scented and smells like men's cologne. It doesn't foam like crazy but lathers well enough to make me feel clean. It rinses well, and doesn't strip my skin. Overall a decent cleanser, but I've got a bunch of other cleanser lined up for trial so I'm moving on.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pad

I'd mentioned in my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream post that I'd picked up a Peace, Joy & FAB Kit.

Well, here it is, and it includes a gigantic 170g/6oz. jar of Ultra Repair Cream which will probably take years for me to finish, a 50mL/1.7fl oz. jar of Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream, a 59mL/2fl oz. spray bottle of Vitamin Hydrating Mist which I'm looking forward to try, 56.7g/2oz. tube of Face Cleanser which hubby and I are enjoying right now, having finished the Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Foaming Cleanser, and 28 pads jar of Facial Radiance Pad, which I've been using the past few weeks.

Hana Facial Cloth

I stumbled onto these Hana Facial Cloths at the local groceries and bought several for myself and my mum.

Rose Mure Facial Cloths were my first facial cloths, received from a Japanese friend. There's an entire market of cloth towels here in Japan. Facial towels, handkerchiefs, you name it. Many ladies use them in form or another, mostly as hand towels, which is much more environmentally friendly than paper towels at public restrooms, or as sweat towels, something they dab their forehead, neck, decolletage, etc. on a hot and humid day.

So how are these facial towels different? They're softer and more velvety. I use mine with toners, because I feel bad throwing away cotton pads everyday. I soak up a spot on the towel with toners and wipe my face. Then I wash the towel along with my laundry and hang dry, avoiding any dryer sheets or softeners ^.^

Kinara Nighttime Skin Quencher

This 15mL/0.5oz pump bottle of Kinara Nighttime Skin Quencher was from one of the Dermstore Fall 2012 Super Luxe Grab Bags, and yes, I finally got to it now two years later. Ha.

Of all the Bag #4's contents, I've only used the RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum and British Science Formulations Hair Strengthener. Hopefully, I will get to the NeoStrata Eye Cream soon but the rest I've long gifted away to my mum ^.^

For the longest time, I was reluctant to try this night cream because it contains an AHA, or more specifically glycolic acid, from the sugarcane that's pretty high up its ingredients list. I'm already on a cocktail of Adapalene from Differin 0.1%retinaldehyde and 6% of more glycolic acid from TriAcneal, then citric and lactic acid (even more AHAs) and salicylic acid (a BHA) from SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. So yeah, I think I've got enough acid on my hands, erh, well, face. So back in April when I ran out of the Clear Lotion, I finally decided I'm bored of SK-II (yeah, it happens) and didn't replenish my supply. Which frees up some space for the acid in this Kinara night cream.

Cure Natural Aqua Gel

This Cure Natural Aqua Gel was all the rage when I was in Japan. Not only it was pricey for a peeling gel (2,650JPY/250g pump bottle), it was always sold out at my local drugstore. There was always some kind of info-mercial about it on TV, with ladies gushing about how awesome it is. Of course I was curious what the hype was all about, but at the time I was preoccupied with Tabibijin Tea Peeling Gel, which lasted for a long long time. So I didn't get around to buying this Cure one until right before going home. I bought mine in a 2-pack via Amazon JP, which does have better pricing if you're curious yourself and you live in Japan ^.^ (I'm not affiliated!)

L'Occitane Red Rice Exfoliating Rice Powder

After Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, I started using this 50g/1.7oz. L'Occitane Red Rice Exfoliating Rice Powder. I actually picked this up while in Seattle for a family wedding 2 years ago but totally forgot about it as I headed straight back to Japan afterwards :X So this exfoliator is actually quite old and long discontinued. And of course, I LOVE it T.T

Clinique for Men Face Scrub

Been using this 15mL travel size tube of Clinique for Men Face Scrub every third morning after my retinoid treatment the night before. I also have a full size 100mL/3.4oz. I bought for hubby, although he hasn't start using it yet. This is a facial exfoliator marketed for men skincare, but I don't see why I (or you!) can't use it :P

That said, I'm still on the fence with this Face Scrub. I can't find a list of ingredients for it yet (I accidentally threw out the packaging for the full size before taking a picture of the ingredients. Oops.), but I'm fairly sure it has either peppermint oil or menthol in it, because it creates quite a tingly minty sensation on the skin! It does not foam, but it cleans very well and can be used in place of a cleanser, although I would *not* recommend it for daily use for yourself (or him).

My Favorite Mannan Gel Peeling

Can you believe it took me a year and a half to finish my bottle of Tabibijin Tea Peeling Gel?!? And I was using it liberally too, 3 pumps once a week for face, neck, and décolletage! Before I left Japan, I seriously thought about getting another bottle, but as I huffed and puffed through the last of it, I was actually glad I didn't buy more. Despite having thoroughly enjoyed using it, I was just as happy to finally be rid of it LOL!

This 5.1oz/145g bottle of My Favorite Mannan Gel Peeling was its replacement. I've been using 2-3 pumps of it weekly since January and have only gotten through, umm, may be a fifth. Argh. At this rate it's probably going to take me another one and half year!!!

Boscia Smoothing Facial Polish

After Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish, I was on the hunt for a similar exfoliator. So I used Boscia's Surprise Beauty Box Holiday 2012 promotion as an excuse to try this Smoothing Facial Polish.

Boscia's Surprise Beauty Box promotion, wherein you get 5 full size products with every order of $75 or more.

***Screencap from Boscia.

The purchased items are boxed at right, and I bought full sizes of, from right to left, this Smoothing Facial Polish, Balancing Facial Tonic, and Soothing Cleansing Cream. The GWP items are unboxed, at left and top, and I received duplicates of Balancing Facial Tonic and Soothing Cleansing Cream, Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil, Vital Daily Moisture SPF 15 (top left, gifted to my mum in law), and Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment.
