Deve Natural Hand Cream

I actually had this 65g tube of Deve Natural Hand Cream out this past winter but ended up putting it away until now.

Shikioriori Tsubaki Hair Essence Water

When I bought this 250mL spray bottle of Shikioriori Tsubaki Hair Essence Water, I just thought to try a new leave-in hair conditioner for my lazy nights, which is sadly most nights ^.^" I didn't expect to like it as much as I do.

A few months ago, I picked out this hair water and a few other new shampoo sets from Rakuten JP. Along with a bunch of other stuff like sunscreens, snacks, dried soups, etc., I had the store sent my big box via surface mail (funabin, aka ocean freight), which usually takes 2-3 months and almost always arrived a little beat up, because that was just how ocean freight rolled ^.^" You tape stuff up and you wrap them well if you don't want them arrived all banged up, because they will be.

Matsumoto Kiyoshi Mild Cleansing Liquid

Almost done with this 250mL pump bottle of Matsumoto Kiyoshi Mild Cleansing Liquid so here's a quick review of it. This is a generic store brand (Matsumoto Kiyoshi is a drugstore chain), although the maker is Kumano Yushi who makes a bunch of other cleansing oils I've used in the past and liked, so I figured this can't be that bad.

And it wasn't bad at all! The texture is a runny, watery gel so I keep expecting it to turn oily at some point during the wash but it never does. It rinses clean but not squeaky clean, and it removes my light makeup and sunscreen just fine. And it was cheap, too! I think I paid something 400yen for it. Not too shabby, I'd say. I won't repurchase though. There are only a million other things to try -.-"

Soielys Perfect Oil

Using this 200mL bottle of Soielys Perfect Oil right now and loving it! I'm actually quite surprised to find this. It's from Kumano Yushi and I haven't seen any of their other cleansing oils around here.

This is a wet/dry cleansing oil that's a lot thicker than most oils I've used. And it's not thick as in greasy, the texture is more like Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. It's the kind of thickness that doesn't splash or spill and allows you to massage your skin without feeling like an oil-spill. It rinses well but doesn't leave my skin squeaky or taut. Smells really nice too, a light peach scent that's lovely and not cloying. Some peach fragrance can be sugary sweet. If I can't find anything new and interesting to try after finishing up this bottle (doubt it...), I will repurchase.

There's a refill too, economical and less wasteful!

Shikioriori Tsubaki Cleansing Oil

Almost done with this 150mL bottle of Shikioriori Tsubaki Cleansing Oil, which I bought in Taipei along with several other cleansing oils from Beaua and PharmaAct. Kumano Yushi owns both brands. And no, it didn't take me 3 months to finish PharmaAct Deep Cleansing Oil. In between, I went through another bottle of Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil.

This cleansing oil is another hit for me and I love it! It doesn't feel oily or greasy, and it doesn't feel too "cushy" or silicone-y either. The texture is just right, not too thick, not too thin. It rinses well but not squeaky clean so my skin doesn't feel stripped or taut afterwards. It is scented with a mild and slightly fruity scent that reminds me of lychee, though not to the extent of SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil. Too bad this bottle is only 150mL, because I'm really enjoying it! Not sure if I can find this online, but I will definitely repurchase.

PharmaAct Deep Cleansing Oil

Finished Beaua Organic Link Cleansing Oil a while back and moved on to this 150mL refill of PharmaAct Deep Cleansing Oil.

To be honest I didn't expect much from this Deep Cleansing Oil. Kumano Yushi owns the brands PharmaAct as well as Beaua, and the Beaua Organic Link Cleansing Oil above as well as the PharmaAct Additive Free Cleansing Oil before that were identical in texture as well as scent. So I was weary, thinking I'm getting the same cleansing oil in yet another different packaging.

Beaua Organic Link Cleansing Oil

I've been using this 300mL pump bottle of Beaua Organic Link Cleansing Oil for a few weeks now. I bought it while in Taipei, at the same time as Beaua 10 Essences Cleansing Oil and PharmaAct Additive Free Cleansing Oil.

The bottle says this Organic Link Cleansing Oil has "essential oil fragrance," and that it's "infused with organic rosemary, lavender, thyme, sage, rose hip, bilberry leaf, cucumber, crataegus, and yarrow," so I was expecting it to have that nice herbal scent like the Beaua 10 Essences, but it turns out to smell like generic soap, very similar to the PharmaAct Additive Free! In terms of texture, it's almost identical to PharmaAct Additive Free, a cushy gel-like feel that isn't thick or greasy, and it doesn't melt into an oil after some massaging like the Beaua 10 Essences.

So if I have to choose, I would pick the Beaua 10 Essences, not only because it smells nice, but also because the PharmaAct Additive Free and this Beaua Organic Link feel like the same product in different packaging. And given that Kumano Yushi owns both Beaua and PharmaAct, they might very well be the same product in different packaging ^.^

PharmaAct Additive Free Cleansing Oil

Started this bottle of PharmaAct Additive Free Cleansing Oil a few weeks ago in May, because I got bored of the Hadanomy Collagen Cleansing :P I missed the feel of a cleansing oil on my skin and I have so many different ones lining up, so I thought what the hell, why not?

I got this bottle at the same time as Beaua 10 Essences Cleansing Oil, at a Japanese drugstore at the Zhongxiao Fuxing-Zhongxiao Dunhua underground mall in Taipei. Let's just say I got several different bottles of cleansing oils there, because I had never seen any of those before and wanted to try them all ^.^

Beaua 10 Essences Cleansing Oil

Been using this 300mL bottle of Beaua 10 Essences Cleansing Oil for the past few weeks and loving it! This is my first product from Kumano Yushi (Kumano Cosmetics/Kumano Cosme). I actually didn't get this in Japan but Taiwan, at the Japanese drugstore in the Zhongxiao Fuxing-Zhongxiao Dunhua underground mall where I bought the Media Pressed Powder and Bright Up Powders ^.^

Kumano Yushi operates mainly in the Chubu (central) region, which explains why I never saw their brands (like Beaua, etc.) in Yokohama/Tokyo drugstores! You will see more cleansing oils from a few other brands from Kumano Yushi soon, because I basically bought one each of the cleansing oils I saw in those Japanese drugstores in Taipei ^.^
