Stumbled upon these Lunasol Sparkling Eyes at 20% off of Japanese retail so I nabbed both palettes 01 Gold Sparkling and 02 Rose Pink Sparkling. I'd already swatched both and poo-pooed them, because under indoor lighting they came off rather flat, bland, and boring. That said, the discount plus my nostalgia for Japan means I finally caved =.=' Ha.
All pictures taken in natural light without flash.
As mentioned in my swatch post, there are no metallics or semi-metallics in these palettes. The finish is shimmery but not overly sparkly--even the top wash is subdued. The texture is silky and pigmentation is very good as you can see.
Thankfully, the colors are less flat in natural light, but overall the color scheme is still pretty basic and boring. Both palettes are neutral I think, with 02 Rose Pink Sparkling more feminine. Both are safe choices for daily wear but neither is special or outstanding. Do you need either? Unless you're a fan of neutrals, I'd say no :)
- 01 Gold Sparkling: a gold-themed brown and beige palette, what else is new? Of course these colors would work at parties too, after all this collection was released for the 2015 holiday season.

Clockwise from top left:
- Base/highlighter, pearl, low intensity. Ivory with a golden pearly finish.
- Lid, pearl, medium intensity. Champagne with a golden pearly finish.
- Liner, shimmer, high intensity. Deep bronze with gold shimmers.
- Medium/crease, shimmer, high intensity. Golden bronze with gold shimmers.
- Sparkling top wash, shimmer, low intensity. Gold.
- 02 Rose Pink Sparkling: a more feminine version with a really pretty red gold lid shade. What I don't get is the silver white sparkling top wash that seems to clash with the warmth of the rest of the palette.
Clockwise from top left:
- Base/highlighter, pearl, low intensity. Pastel pink.
- Lid, pearl, medium intensity. A gorgeous red gold with a golden pearly sheen that's probably my favorite color out of both palettes.
- Liner, shimmer, high intensity. Deep taupe brown with gold shimmers.
- Medium/crease, shimmer, high intensity. Taupe with gold shimmers.
- Sparkling top wash, shimmer, low intensity. White with silver shimmers that I wish were gold instead.
