Face Stockholm x JCrew Lipstick

This Face Stockholm x JCrew Lipstick was a total impulse buy last year. You know how they always leave a bowl of knickknacks by the register where you line up to pay? That tactics works quite well on some folks, like me :X Anyway, this is a limited edition collaboration, and there were 3 colors, Chili Flake in a neon orange box, Peony Pink in a neon pink box, and of course I had to pick this French Martini in a bright navel orange box.

Smashbox x Curtis Kulig Love Me Eye Shadow Palette

I was really excited when the Smashbox x Curtis Kulig Love Me Eye Shadow Palettes came out last spring. There were two palettes available, a warm Admire Me palette and a cool Entice Me palette. I was especially keen on the cool latter and was about the skip the warm former, but later decided to get both.

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush

This Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush was released for Valentine's last year, and I think it might still be available online. I bought this around last summer but didn't get around to using it until now. This is a tri-color baked blush housed in a heart-shaped paper carton that's huge and bulky, especially when the blush itself is less than half as thick as the box!

Canmake Candy Wrap Lip Part IV

More Canmake Candy Wrap Lips, although admittedly I'm tired of the brand ever since they let me down not so gently with the latest Canmake Cream Cheek Clear Series CL05 Clear [un]Happiness :( That said, I'm considering trying their eyebrow pencils since Yumeko of Bitten Before said some time ago she's been using the brand's brow pencils for a decade! Since paying some attention to shaping my thin and sparse brows I've only been using the only brow compact I have, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Brow Kit, and I'm getting quite bored of it ^.^

Sephora Collection Prisma Chrome Eye Shadow

Continuing with my endless catch-up game with the Sephora Collection Prisma Chrome Eye Shadow, purchased summer 2012. These are wet-dry powder shadows that promise a metallic chrome finish. There were only a few colors left when I bought them as they were being replaced by a newer line, now also discontinued, called Outrageous Prima Chrome Eye Shadows (will review these too, soon).

Anyway, 3 particular colors caught my eyes, 20 Gold Reflection, 40 Purple Prisma, and 50 Black Diamond. All pictures taken in natural light without flash.

L'Occitane Hand Creams Part III

So I've gone through another score of L'Occitane Hand Creams, keeping a tube in different bags (handbag, gym bag, book bag, etc.). Here they are in a short list, though not in any specific order.

- Winter Rose Hand Cream: a soft rosy scent that's surprisingly pleasant, mild yet lingers for quite a long while. I was at a conference for a week where I had to handle lots of paperwork and therefore constantly got alligator hands. Good thing I brought this tube with me, because it gave almost instant relief to the dryness and discomfort. And then one morning my colleague asked me discreetly, "Hey, what perfume are you wearing? It smells really nice." I shook my head, "I'm not wearing any perfume," and she looked at me, confused, "Really?" Then I remember I had put on some of this hand cream an hour ago and held up my hand to her, "Is this what you're smelling? It's just a hand cream." She smelled my hand and nodded, "Yup, that's it!"

All nice and good, but there is one thing I don't like about this hand cream - it has shimmers in it. I actually didn't notice at all, until the afternoon sun shined in over the conference's glass roof one day and I saw that my nails were shimmery. I did a double take and finally realized my whole two hands were shimmery! Yeah, no. But other than that, I like this hand cream very much!

Paul & Joe Color Powder CS

Another super late review for Paul & Joe Color Powder CS in the color 079 Les Tourtereaux. Bought this one at the same time as the Face & Eye Color CS winter of 2012, and it was released fall 2012.

These Paul & Joe Face Colors were from last fall's Beauty Bay order which also included a Lipstick Refill 001 Cupid's Kiss, one of my favorite lipstick that I carry with me in my bag. There used to be a bunch of colors, and I'm not talking about 5 or 6 color options. There were some 11+ colors available, and that's only what I could find via ASOS online! Yes, folks, you read that right, at least 11 colors, and probably more because I've seen other names that aren't on the below stock photo! I know they're trying to have something for everyone, but talk about overwhelming! I really hate it when companies do that, like the Lancome Color Design palettes, there's only about, oh, 29 some options? Or when you go to a restaurant and they give you a menu the size of a phonebook. Cheezes crisp, really?!?

Anyways, so yeah, I didn't even think about touching these Paul & Joe Face Colors when they first came out. Thankfully last year when I place my order there were only a few colors left, and I picked 10 Tango and 17 Sundown (it says Sun Set on the stock photo) since these two look different enough from each other.

A couple other colors look nice and tempting, especially 15 Re-belle, 07-Love, and 11-Rhapsody, but I already have a gazillion of pink and rose blushes I seriously don't need anymore (that's what I say but...). All pictures taken in natural light without flash.

Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color CS

These Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color CS are longer overdue for a review - I bought them the winter of 2012 while I was still in Taipei :( Actually, I didn't even get around to take pictures of them until last fall when I reviewed the Lipstick and Lipstick CS! Since then though I have been wearing these eye colors occasionally and I do like them a lot! They are from the Manhattan Collection released Fall 2011. Yup, super old.

Visee Mineral Liquid Cheeks Baby Finish

Been curious about these Visee Mineral Liquid Cheeks Baby Finish for the longest time. They came out while I was in Taipei and were constantly sold out on Adam Beauty. Then last fall I was browsing when I spotted them in stock again and promptly snatched some up ^.^

There are 5 colors available: OR200, PK800, PK801, RD400, and RD401. From these 5 colors I bought OR200, PK801, and OR200. Check out the swatches of all 5 colors at So Lonely In Gorgeous.

You're probably wondering why I picked the paler pink PK801 over the brighter pink that is PK800. That's because I saw the swatch of PK800 on Rouge Deluxe and Haru says it's looks too similar to RD400 on her skin after blending. Since I'm also very warm toned, this similarity will likely applies to me also. Due to the size of these tubes, each containing a whopping 10g of product(!!!), I don't want any overlapping because I'll probably never finish up a tube, much less two similar looking ones.

Practicality (reality?) aside, I also love me a yellow-based red, which makes RD400 a must have and there's just no way I'd pick PK800 over RD400 ^.^ And once I saw OR200, PK801, and RD400 in person, I realized I had chosen well because all 3 are quite different from another and cannot be recreated from mixing any other colors within the range. Whereas PK801 + RD400 = a gradation of PK800 depends on how much pink, or PK801 + OR200 + RD400 = a gradation of RD401 depends on how much pink, orange, or red xD

Clinique Almost Lipstick Part II

I tried Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey way back when it first came out and made a big splash. Didn't like it then, so when a bunch more colors came out in 2012, I didn't bother a look. I was still in Japan at the time, and wouldn't have been able to get it anyway. Then last year Clinique came out with an Almost Lipstick Pink Ribbon 2013, I finally caved and picked up both the limited edition 99 Pink Ribbon Honey as well as 37 Luscious Honey. And while at it, I thought I'd give the original Black Honey a second try too, since it's free and all ^.^ Who knows, people change.

Visee x Gathers In the Park Glam Pink Eyes

I didn't bother with Visee Glam Pink Eyes when they first came out. Just from the stock pictures online, all the palettes are sheer and pink-toned. While I like both sheer and pinks, in an eye shadow palette I do need at least the liner shade to be dark enough to line, and none of the options available then look anything close to being a liner color.

Fast forward a few years, the range was discontinued and these two Visee x Gathers In the Park limited editions PK-6 Glamorous Pink and PK-7 Natural Pink went on sale, plus my one and only youtube guru Asahi Sasaki (formerly manwomanfilm) said these two are among her favorites, I thought what the hell, it wouldn't hurt to just try, so I picked them up.

Coffret D'Or AA Aqua Rouge

Even more impulse buys in the form of Coffret D'Or AA Aqua Rouge ^.^ These are also old and discontinued and Coffret D'Or no longer makes them, which is perfect time for me to try them -.-' I know, I'm always super late to game, which is why I gave up on keeping up a long time ago. Ha.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

This 3.7mL/0.13fl oz. deluxe sample tube of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Anti-Aging was a part of the Sephora Winter 2013 promotion, the Festive Cheery GWP bag. And I pretty much got this bag for this eye primer ^.^ I think I kept a couple other items and gave the rest away to my mum and sister.
