MyKirei Soothing Peony Milky Lotion

Just finished the last of four 340mL/11.5fl. oz. refill pouches of MyKirei Soothing Peony Milky Lotion so here's a post for them, finally! Again, MyKirei was Kao's--in my opinion, half-baked--attempt at "eco" products marketed to the North American consumers. I assume it didn't go well, and they sure didn't try very hard I think, so the brand has now ceased production. Which is saying post is really for my own personal product diary.

I'm not sure what they were thinking, but they sure didn't put a lot of effort into marketing the "eco" aspects. And unlike the inflated Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner bottles, the silly-looking cut-out pump bottle and refill pouches for this Milky Lotion were both plastic, perhaps recyclable plastic, but still plastic.

Anyway, the Milky Lotion was translucent and cloudy. It was supposed to be for the body but was rather thin, runny, and well, too light and not very moisturizing, especially considering that my skin is already dry and I'm living in a semi-desert climate. Maybe they meant for this product to be used in a tropical and humid environment?

Either way, after the first try, I sort of rolled my eyes and tossed it aside. It wasn't until later when I started using La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm and found it too thick and rich that I thought of using this Milk Lotion to dilute the Balm. Since then, I've been using this Milky Lotion for that purpose, diluting other lotions that I found too thick. Hey, at least I put this to good use, right?
