The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream

Been using this Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream for a few weeks now, so here's a quick review for it.

This is an eye cream that comes in a sanitary pump bottle, much like its serums such as the Vitamin E Moisture Serum and the Aloe Protective Serum. The bottle contains 0.5 fl. oz., which is a good amount considering The Body Shop has frequent sales and promotion and you can get these at a very reasonable price. And plus I don't need to begin with, as this cream is very light and fast absorbing but at the same time decently moisturizing. I use this at night only, before going to bed, and it makes my eye area feel nice and comfortable upon application. 

All that said, I won't be buying this again. First off, it smells funky, not in a rancid eww-it-had-gone-bad sort of way, just a funny mix of chemical smell that rubbed me all wrong. Also, the first time I pumped some out onto the tip of my ringer finger, I thought, now why the hell would they put shimmers into an eye cream? Yes, this eye cream is opaque, pearly, and shimmery. It's not one of those shimmery brightening bases with moisturizing/nourishing properties, it's just an eye cream. Whenever they try to make an eye cream look fancy, it just turns out looking cheap, and that pisses me off! Check out the ingredients list - Mica is #12, which is pretty high up considering a bunch of other ingredients listed after it. In my humble opinion, mica is a completely unnecessary and useless ingredient that has no place in any eye cream, other than to irritate me (and perhaps, other people's eyes too)! So yeah, I have so many choices of honest eye creams out there that work just as well if not better, so why would I buy this again?
