Amore Pacific Intensive Revitalizing Eye Essence

I used to roll my eyes at the idea of eye essences and serums, because I thought they were rather redundant when I was already applying eye creams. And then I got older and my eye area became even drier than it was before and all of a sudden, eye essences and serums didn't seem so silly. Ha!

Still, it took this 15mL/0.5fl. oz. roller pen of Amore Pacific Intensive Revitalizing Eye Essence to really changed my bias against this line of products. Actually, it didn't just change my bias, it made eye essences and serum a permanent fixture in my nighttime skincare routine.

The application was a bit of a learning curve for me: a roller-pen with the click-button dispenser that has a twist-lock. Sounds great, only each click dispensed so much product that it started to drip-drop. So I ended up having to click and dispense the essence onto the tip of my ring-finger, then I apply with my fingertips rather than using the roller-pen.

This essence was a clear runny gel that was light but quite moisturizing. As part of my nighttime routine, I applied it to my eye area and laugh lines, and it would provide that little "extra" where my skin needed it most. Then eye cream went on top. The only complaint I had with this eye essence was that it was very strongly scented with the signature Amore Pacific fragrance, pleasant but way too strong. Thankfully, the fragrance didn't bother my eyes. It took me almost a year to finish up this tube but now I actually have a queue of eye essences and serums that I look forward to using. I believe it's been discontinued, but if you come across it and are curious, I'd say give it a shot but beware of the strong scent.
