The 2012 Sephora Give Me Some Lip trial set. All pictures taken in natural light without flash.
From left to right: Sephora Collection Glossy Gloss 03 Precious Pink full size (gifted to my sister), Fresh Sugar Rose Mini Tinted Lip Treatment 0.08oz/2.2g, Bite Beauty Lip Shine Vintage 0.1oz/2.72g, this Laura Mercier Lip Glace Baby Doll 0.1oz/2.8g, Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss Child 0.12oz/3.5g, and Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Tint Hope full size.
This is another gloss in a tube with standard doe foot applicator. It has the same vanilla scent as the previous color Rose I have and love, but unfortunately that's about all they share. For some reason, the formula is different with this color. It feels thicker and stickier, and while it does last for several hours it's not as moisturizing :( Also, for a lip gloss it leaves a mere sheen and oddly not very glossy, and that's after 2-3 coats each application!
The color Baby Doll is a sheer fleshy pink with white shimmers. It swatched with some color but on my lips, it's virtually clear. In my experience, it's best layered on top of another lippie and it works well with a stain, but that's about it. So yeah, sadly this gloss is meh. Even if you were looking for something sheer to layer with, there are plenty others that are much glossier, non-sticky, more moisturizing, and don't cost you $24 a piece.
Swatches from left to right: Fresh Sugar Rose Mini Tinted Lip Treatment (top), Bite Beauty Lip Shine Vintage, Laura Mercier Lip Glace Baby Doll, Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss Child, and Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Tint Hope. Will review these next.
