It's been a heated discussion why Selfridges UK Online has such trouble supplying Suqqu demands. When these Extra Glow Lipsticks went on sale in August of 2016, they were sold out in a snap on Selfridge's website. The problem was they weren't restocked until the second week of December, and even then, only certain colors. I still haven't seen 08 深紅 (Fukabeni) Crimson Red available at all!
Yes, there's always the option of calling the physical Suqqu UK counter at the store, but international customers get stuck with a pretty hefty price tag per order: 1--GBP30 delivery fee (~$36.75!), 2--an administrative charge that's 2% of the subtotal, all on top of the actual order. I don't know about you, but this makes it prohibitively expensive and leaves me solely dependent on the website. I bit the bullet once and I'm positive I won't do that again.
Anyway, in the second week of December, a fellow blog reader Caty alerted me to the limited restock (thanks, Caty!) and I was able to snag four more colors: 03 粋桃 (Suitou) Aquatic Pink, 04 彩珊瑚 (Ayasango) Bright Coral, 06 紅茜 (Beniakane) Madder Red, and 07 瞬朱 (Syunake) True Red.

I still wish Suqqu hadn't changed the packaging for these lippies but I guess I'm glad the change lowered the price accordingly. These aren't as expensive as the Creamy Glows, the Creamy Glow Moists, or the Bright Ups!
Other than the finish with some colors being more translucent than others, I'm happy to report the formula and pigmentation level are both consistent. Thus far, that is.
- 03 粋桃 (Suitou) Aquatic Pink: the name Aquatic Pink makes me think it's a cool pink, but it's really a coral with pink undertone. Interestingly enough, this color swatched more opaque than 04 below on the back of my hand, but on my lips it's semi-translucent.
- 04 彩珊瑚 (Ayasango) Bright Coral: bright coral it is! And although it swatched more translucent than 03 above, it actually goes on with a slight milkiness that quickly adapts to my lips, very much like 05 冴杏 (Saeanzu) Orange Red.
- 06 紅茜 (Beniakane) Madder Red: translucent and warm orange-red. Love this color!
- 07 瞬朱 (Syunake) True Red: swatched a translucent neutral red but turns warm on my lips, becoming a true and--dare I say--sexy red. I wore it side by side with 06 above to compare, and wow, the juicy red in 07 makes 06 looks totally orange! This is my favorite color of the bunch even if I don't reach for it often. Looking for that one red but Creamy Glow 18 唐紅花 (Karakurenai) scares the daylight out of you? Try this red instead!
