Suqqu has discontinued this Balancing Eyebrow compact a year ago (or two, I'm not sure) and I wanted to grab one before it's gone for good. Since 01 Moss Green was most popular, I went with it and was so glad I did.
All pictures taken in natural light without flash.
This is a pressed brow powder in Suqqu's old packaging design: a sleek black compact with an embossed Suqqu at bottom center. The powder is finely milled and densely packed. There's zero fall-out. I found the pigmentation just right. Either way, being a brow powder it isn't supposed to be super pigmented. I only use dabs of it each time so this compact will last me probably forever.
- 01 Moss Green: It find it interesting that that this is called Moss Green. My knee-jerk reaction was to ponder how green would work as a brow powder. However, as you can see, the deepest shade is only very slightly tinted mossy green in the pan, and on the back of my hand, that green disappears into my yellowy skin tone. Once applied, it perfectly blends in with my brows.
From left to right:
- A warm brown with hints of chestnut. I actually find this color a tad too warm for my skin tone.
- A deep smoky color that's slightly moss green in the pan. Once applied, it turns a bitter brown on my skin.
- A warm beige that's slightly pinky in the pan but turns slightly yellowy on me.
