Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Glossy Shine Stick Part II

I finally tried the other 3 colors of Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Glossy Shine Stick and..., let's just say I immediately went out to buy more backups of these too :D In my first post I said Lemon Twist was too violet, Citrus Sorbet too beigey, and Colada Love too mauvey, but boy do they look different on my lips! I am so glad I gave these a chance instead of writing them off after swatching them on the back of my hand!

Lemon Twist

Colada Love

Citrus Sorbet

That said, unfortunately these 3 colors didn't leave much stain behind like Melon Out or Strawberry Fields did. Lemon Twist did leave a tiny little bit, but not enough to be a true stain. But that didn't stop me from loving them :P Actually, I was totally surprised that these 3 colors turned out so well on my lips. Although I have better luck with nudes, I generally don't have any luck at all with violets (Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey) and mauves (Lancome Color Fever Gloss in Heatstroke, Stila Lip Glaze in Spiced Maple) as lip colors.

- Lemon Twist: I couldn't believe it the first time I tried this Lemon Twist on. Holycrap, there was actually a violet lip color that I could actually wear and didn't look like I had swallowed poison!!! And it was such a pretty, totally wearable, grapey violet with scattered gold shimmers that goes well with almost every outfit I wear too, how sweet is that? And this one actually left a stain, albeit a very faint one, after the gloss wore off, and I usually just top with clear gloss or lip balm or a weak encore :) Totally sold on this one.

-Colada Love: I had to take a deep breath, you know, the "oh boy, here goes" before trying this one on. Turned out it was a totally translucent mauve that gave true meaning to those my-lips-but-better lip colors. I seriously could not tell that I was wearing anything on my lips, but my lips clearly looked much much better! And glossy! I was so incredulous that I hadn't apply enough to see any color so I had to press my lips on a tissue to check. But of course, there it was, the color came right off on the tissue. And very pigmented color too, I might add. How freakin' awesome is that?!? See why I had to get backups? I don't run into a mauve lip color like very often. Enough said.

- Citrus Sorbet: this color I had to learn to like, because while it looks more of a peachy color, it is actually an opaque peachy nude beige that my lips had to be in tip top shape with no dry flakes to look good in. Then again, I rarely have chapped lips, not with my favorite Beauty Rush Soothing Lip Balm, so it didn't take me long to like this one :)

In conclusion, I like every single one of these 6 Beauty Rush Glossy Shine Stick colors, although I must admit I love some colors much, much, more than others. If I had to pick and choose, I would go with Melon Out, Strawberry Fields (yes, as pigmented and red as it is!!!), Lemon Twist, and Colada Love. While I like them, sadly I can definitely do without Mango Tango and Citrus Sorbet. In my opinion, these Glossy Shine Sticks are another winning lippie from Victoria's Secret, with the other 2 being my beloved Beauty Rush Soothing Lip Balm and Beauty Rush Minty Lip Shine.
