Kotoku-in Daibutsu, Kamakura, Kanagawa

Kotoku-in is, hands down, one of the most well known temples of Japan, thanks to its outdoor bronze seated Daibutsu (Big Buddha) statue. There is not much, and thus not much to say, of its actual temple, and so everyone comes here for the Daibutsu.

As you can see, it's quite huge.

Other bronze structures surrounding the statue.

For another minuscule fee, something like 20yen (18 cents?), you can to go inside the statue and look around.

Other than to marvel at the actual bronze work from the inside, there was nothing much to see because, well, it was really dark in there!

The statue from the side.

Me and N. ^.^
