JMsolution Sun Sticks SPF50+ PA++++

Here's a group review for 4 JMsolution Sun Sticks SPF50+ PA++++: the wider 21g/0.74oz. Marine Luminous Pearl Sun Stick and the thinner 20g/0.7oz. Pearl Light Sun Stick, both in green packaging, and again the wider 21g/0.74oz. Glow Luminous Flower Sun Stick Rose and the thinner 20g/0.7oz. Flower Light Sun Stick Rose, both in pink packaging.

First up is the Marine Luminous variety in green packaging. There are 2 kinds: Pearl and Pearl Light. Sounds self-explanatory, right? Not so. Because I thought the Pearl meant something along the lines of "tone-up," as in having micro-pearls or shimmers or at least somehow brightening. Nope. Pearl was a transparent stick. Likewise, I thought Pearl Light meant light texture and/or finish, and so expected the stick to be transparent. Nope. Pearl Light was semi-translucent. Let's just say I was pretty confused when I opened them up. Anyway, both sticks were scented with a pleasant fresh floral fragrance.

- Marine Luminous Pearl Sun Stick: this was the wide and curved, and transparent green stick that went on with an annoying oily sheen that wouldn't set nor go away, like ever. In fact, this stick was my last straw on ALL transparent sun sticks. I ended up going through my huge stash of sun sticks and passing on all transparent ones to my cousin J. who actually likes the sheen (she says her skin is dull and the sheen makes her look lustrous). From then on, I learned to google each sun stick before buying and if it was transparent, I blacklist it.

- Marine Luminous Pearl Light Sun Stick: this was thinner stick that was semi-translucent. It still went on with a sheen that was slightly more tolerable than the transparent sticks, but still I disliked it enough to demote it for use on the back of my hands.

Next up is the Glow Luminous variety. These also came in 2 kinds: Flower, and Flower Light. The Flower was same as above, a transparent stick, but the Flower Light was thankfullly semi-opaque. Yay--something I can actually use on my face! Both were scented with a decent rose fragrance. Either way, I wasn't impressed and won't repurchase any of these.

- Glow Luminous Flower Sun Stick Rose: wide and curved and transparent pink. Also passed on to cousin J. for the same reason. Urgh. Never again.

- Flower Light Sun Stick Rose: the thinner, semi-opaque pink stick that applied translucent and set semi-matte so out of these 4, I could only use this one on my face. Even then, despite the semi-matte finish, it still wasn't as elegant as some others I've tried (my top 3 sun sticks are Skin Aqua Perfect UV Stick, Hanyul White Chrysanthemum Matte Sunscreen Stick, and Hera Sun Mate Stick, with Hanyul and Hera seemingly discontinued since I can't find them online).

Marine Luminous Pearl Light versus Flower Light.
