This is a translucent gel mask with the same herbal rosy scent as the Herbal Recovery range. The gel is viscous and slimy, and a thin layer is to be applied evenly on the face, avoiding the eyes, wait for 10 minutes, then wipe off with a warm towel or damp cotton pad. It has antioxidant beads that's supposed to release vitamin E and naturally derived salicylic acid from willow bark extract. It's not a moisture mask per se, but is supposed to provide hydration.
After one month of use, I honestly don't really get what this mask is good for. It's supposed to help with dehydration but as it dries, it pulls my skin taut! And after wiping if off with a damp warm towel (The Body Shop Facial Muslin Cloths are excellent for this purpose!), my skin still feels tight and somewhat dry. Plump skin from the extra boost? Not really. Even the "gentle exfoliation" is actually from the towel wiping off the mask, not from the mask itself. I'm glad I had this sample to try, because if I were to spend that $48 on the full size tube, I'd feel ripped off :( Will not purchase.
