I bought a 50g tube of this Nivea Sun Creme Care UV Cream SPF50+ PA++++ a couple of years ago and didn't get around to using it until now, but of course it's been discontinued in the meantime. Ha.
The reason I took so long to try this out? Because it's *not* sweat and water resistant. Usually, it's hubby who prefers the easy-on-easy-off variety: he has normal skin that isn't oily, he doesn't sweat much,
and he can't be
bothered to remove any sunscreen properly with a cleansing oil or balm, let alone using a follow up cleanser after that. Ever since I introduced him to Biore UV Watery Rich Essence in 2012 and the Gel version in 2015,
he's been sticking with these two through their many repackaging and
reformulation and wouldn't try anything else. As for me, I'm definitely
bias towards the water and sweat resistant sunscreens because otherwise they'd
melt right off of my oily t-zones and lids. So even though I'd
get curious about and buy the easy-on-easy-off stuff, I end up dragging my feet in trying
them.
...And then some gal mentioned on her blog that she'd use these easy-on-easy-off sunscreens as hand creams and a light bulb went off in my head. Sure, I'd tried that before and didn't like how sticky my hands feel afterwards. However, my hands have since gotten even drier and I'd learned to put up with thick and greasy hand creams, so when I finally tried this sunscreen as a hand cream, it actually didn't feel too bad. In fact, I quite like it on my hands!
Texture wise, this sunscreen feels like, well, a cream. It's also lightly scented which I find surprising, because the vast majority of the sunscreens made in Japan are fragrance-free. Anyway, on my hands it's decently moisturizing, which is really all I need in a hand cream for the summer. The SPF is a bonus, and and even better is that the sunscreen isn't as sticky on my hands as I'd expected it to be ^.^ I like it enough that if I could find it for a reasonable price, I'd totally stock up on it. Meanwhile, I'd already picked up the next generation products: Nivea UV Deep Protection & Care Gel and Essence versions. That said, both versions are sweat and water resistant, so I'll probably use them on my face and not my hands.

I remember using this a couple winters ago! I actually really liked it for my winter skin, and of course as a German, the scent of Nivea is super comforting to me.

I'm always wondering that as well, especially with cosmetics and skincare. If something's working and selling well, why would they discontinue it? But they do, like every other year, and I just don't get it!

Oh, it's just a part-time job teaching English to kids. The lesson planning takes forever, and Wednesdays are rough because regular schools are closed on Wednesdays in the French-speaking part of the country (and neighboring France), so it's basically a day care for those kids.
Cosmetics and food/tea! At least my favorite Lupicia tea, Trick or Treat (so yummy!) is making a comeback this year, but Hanamizuki's Apple Chai seems to be gone for good... :(

Oh yes, I forgot they do LE's of foods/drinks/teas as well. It's fun when they offer the LE's, but I always miss those releases even when I was in Tokyo :( And by the time I hear/read about them, they're already gone.
Wow interesting! No schools on Wednesdays! My boys would have loved that LOL Does that mean their school week is only 4 days, or do the kids go to school on Saturday or Sunday to make up for the Wednesday off? How old are your students? And does that mean you teach in French? Or German? Or all English? I so admire and am envious of your multi-lingual ability <3<3<3

I really wish the good flavors would stay around for longer - I miss my Hanamizuki Apple Chai!
Perhaps some Saturday school, I think. (Sundays are for rest here!) Plus, most parents work M-F, so the kids end up in some program like ours. Most of "mine" (aged between 4 and 12, in different groups of course) speak French, but I have one group where two boys speak Italian and two girls speak Spanish, and I have enough trouble dusting off the remnants of my high school French...)
There's also been a lot of drama in my musical group, but that's definitely not something I want to talk about publicly.

Some kids are open to learning English, but most are just there to play and/or complain. (One kid hates literally EVERYTHING.)
