I live in a desert-like climate and my skin takes a beating for it, especially my hands and feet. So imagine my excitement when I first spotted these 22g tubes of RiRe Heel Care Foot Stick! You bet I bought, like, 4 of them and gave them to my mum, my mum-in-law, and my friend M., all before trying it out, because how badly can someone screw up a moisturizing stick for the feet?
Well, RiRe didn't screw this Foot Stick up terribly, but it wasn't as great as I'd hoped it to be. Let's start with the tube: it's curved shaped made it easy to rub the stick everywhere on my feet, top of the foot and bottom sole. I was relieved that they chose a spicy herbal scent, because anything else for the feet would have a deal breaker for me. So I appreciated the scent at least.
As for the formula itself, the bullet felt nice and smooth going on. It was initially moisturizing, if a bit greasy. It took a long time to absorb and set, and my feet were nice and soft during that time. However, by the next morning, my feet would feel dry again, as if all the moisture had evaporated overnight. It wasn't like I went marathon running through the night, so it wasn't like I'd rubbed off all the good stuff. So I wished the moisturizing and softening effect would last, but they didn't. So this stick was okay for the fall and spring, but in the depth of the winter it wasn't anywhere near adequate. Will not repurchase.
