Here are a bunch of Paul & Joe lippies for you, folks! In this post are Lipstick CS, Lipstick D, Lipstick L, Lipstick N, Tinted Lipstick, and several Lipstick Cases.
All pictures taken in natural light without flash.
First up are Lipstick N 104 Groseille, one of the permanent lineups from the 2020 Spring Collection (now discontinued), Lipstick CS 116 Les Vendanges,
a limited edition from 2019 Autumn Collection (this one was supposed to
go first since it's from an older collection, oops!), and Tinted Lipstick in 001 Globe Trotting, a limited edition also from the same 2020 Spring Collection.
Here are Lipstick Case CS 049, 053, 057, and 059. And yes, I bought an extra case because in a previous order, I was short a case for one of my lipstick refills.
The 2020 Spring saw a release of a brand new Lipstick N
collection with different finishes (Sheer, Natural, and Satin I
believe). I picked the sheerest one of course, because that's the finish
I prefer for daily wear.
- Lipstick N 104 Groseille: transparent cool pink.
In
the previous fall of 2019, several limited edition Lipstick CS' were
released in a collection that celebrated the different grapes used in
wine-making. These lippies were more pigmented and had a natural finish.
- Lipstick CS 116 Les Vendanges: translucent grape-y red wine.
From the same 2020 Spring Collection
was a limited edition Tinted Lipstick in the famous P&J cat-shaped
bullet, and by "tinted" they meant color-changing and staining, which
was fine with me but I do know some folks might dislike the staining
aspect. There was only one color available for this Tinted Lipstick.
- Tinted Lipstick 001 Globe Trotting: yellow cat-shaped bullet in the tube but
applies like a transparent cool pink with shimmers that don't
show. Once applied, I honestly couldn't tell this apart from Lipstick N 104 Groseille
above. The glaring difference was that this one left a bright bubblegum
pink stain, which I actually did like!

Later in 2020, for the Summer Collection we saw another fun release with cat motifs: the Sparkling Eye Color Limited (will post later) and Lipstick L, with clear bullet and a cat-shaped core. There were a total of three colors and I picked 004 Soleil D'Ete and 005 Bratty Cat, skipping 006 Lumiere du Soleil because it was a brown-beige core and the clear bullet had chunky shimmers.

These
Lipstick L's came in their own tube with P&J's signature
chrysanthemum on the cap, and although I love the pretty flower I didn't
like the chunky plastic tubes. I much preferred the slim paper tubes
with cute prints from the regular lineup.

That
said, the super cute lipstick inside more than made up for the clunky
tubes. These Lipstick L's had the same concept as the Lipstick D from the P&J x Doraemon collaboration in 2019 Spring Collection,
with a transparent lipstick bullet and a color core, cat shape in this
case. The formula was slightly better than the Lipstick D too, although
still wasn't as soft and moisturizing as their other lippies. At least
the transparent bullet wasn't as waxy as the Lipstick D. The
pigmentation was decent, but definitely not full coverage. I wouldn't
have bought them if they were full coverage.
- 004 Soleil D'Ete: clear yellow bullet with a bright orange core, both shimmer-free.

- 005 Bratty Cat: clear blue bullet with medium pink core, again both shimmer-free.

The end of 2020 saw another special LE Christmas Collection, a second collaboration between Paul & Joe x Doraemon, on the occasion of Doraemon's 50th Anniversary. I was especially keen on the Lip Treatment Balm D 002, and of course more of the Lipstick D in 3 colors. Initially, I picked 004 Shiny Yellow & Vivid Red and 006 Twinkle Orange & Pink Beige, and skipping 005 Glitter
Blue & Romantic Pink, but later went back for this color because the formula was markedly better than the previous Lipstick D.
The
tubes were metal, just like the previous Lipstick D, only with Doremi
on the cap. I think I know why the formula was better too: whereas the
previous Lipstick D and the Lipstick L above had a transparent bullet
with a solid color core, these ones had a color bullet and a translucent
core. Despite the smiling Doremi on the cap, the core was
Doraemon-shaped which confused me a bit at first ^.^ Anyway, these
lippies were more along the lines of the regular lineup--they were way
softer and more moisturizing, and with better pigmentation to boot!

- 004 Shiny Yellow x Vivid Red:
orange-red bullet with a translucent yellow core with shimmers that
didn't show. I appreciated that the translucent core had no color and
served to sheer out the rest of the bullet.

- 006 Twinkle Orange x Pink Beige:
more like a rosy bullet with translucent peach core, again with
shimmers that didn't show. Despite the peachy appearance, this core too
had no color and only served to sheer out the rest of the bullet.

& Pink Beige.
More to come soon!
