Paul & Joe Foundation Primer Part III

In addition to Paul & Joe Pearl Foundation Primer, I'm also using this 30mL1fl. oz. pump bottle of Moisturizing Foundation Primer L SPF18 PA+ in 01 Lavender. Note that in Japanese, this primer is simply called La Tout Eclat Foundation Primer and the "Moisturizing" is omitted. Also, unlike both the Pearl and the Sparkling Foundation Primers, the packaging (back of box and back of the bottle itself) only says "化粧下地" (keshou shitaji, makeup base/primer) and "美容液" (biyou eki, beauty essence/serum) is also omitted.

Paul & Joe Foundation Primer Part II

This post is super late as usual, but I've been using my three (actually four--I'll get to that in a moment) 30mL/1fl. oz. pump bottles of Paul & Joe Pearl Foundation Primer for a few months now, since the weather got cold. I skipped 001 Bonbon, the very first of these LE releases, because when it came out some 10 years ago in the spring/summer 2012 (holy moly really?!), I'd read that it was quite sparkly. When I checked swatches, indeed it appeared rather sparkly and sparkly was--and still is--the last thing I want in a primer. 

But since then I've been collecting the rest: 002 Sweet Bon-Bon (spring 2017), and 003 Pinot Noir and 004 Muscadet (autumn 2019), even though it wasn't until this past fall that I started using them on a daily basis. So I figured I'd do a batch review for all three.

Nivea Sun Strong Fit Care UV Milky Gel SFP50+ PA++++

Okay, three 80g bottles of this lovely Nivea Sun Strong Fit Care UV Milky Gel SFP50+ PA++++ later and several more gifted away to friends and family, I think it's about time I post this review.  

I first bought two bottles of this Milky Gel in the spring of 2019 to try along with a bunch of other different sunscreens. I also got a 16g sample bottle packed in with a refill pouch of Nivea Sun Super Water Gel 2018 version, as this Milky Gel was first released in 2018.  

Dove Baby Eczema Care Soothing Cream

While we're using Mustela Stelatopia Emollient Balm on our littlest one, we're also using this 144g/5.1oz. tube of Dove Baby Eczema Care Soothing Cream on our 4.5-year old who has eczema-prone skin that gets dry and flaky with pretty much the vast majority of baby lotions and creams we've tried. In the hot summer, we'd found that Mustela Stelatopia Emollient Cream works, and for this cold and dry weather, this Dove cream is the best so far! 

Mustela Stelatopia Emollient Balm

When Mustela Nourishing Lotion with Cold Cream not quite working out for this cold and dry weather, we moved on to this 200mL/6.76fl. oz. tube of Stelatopia Emollient Balm. We used a couple of tubes of the lighter Cream version before and loved it, I was looking forward to trying this thicker and richer Balm version for my boys.

Mustela Nourishing Lotion with Cold Cream

Last fall, with Mustela Nourishing Cream with Cold Cream being quite a challenge for us to finish using, I was super weary to start with this 200mL/6.76fl. oz. tube of Nourishing Lotion with Cold Cream, basically the same stuff only thinner and meant for the body versus face. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as the cream version ^.^"

Lucas' Papaw Ointment

Finishing my second 15g tube of Lucas' Papaw Ointment so I guess it's time for a post. I first read about this ointment from Citrine, and since I always need an all-purpose ointment/balm within reach of my nursing chair, I thought I'd give this a try and picked up a 3-pack from Amazon.

 

Able Skincare Anti-Aging Radiance Platinum Sleeping Mask

Oh boy, where do I start? Having finished my deluxe trial jar of Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask and immediately moved on to another full size jar (I told you I love this stuff, right?), I decided to introduce yet another sleeping mask to my nighttime routine, this 50mL/1.69fl. oz. jar of Able Skincare Anti-Aging Radiance Platinum Sleeping Mask. 

I've never heard of the brand Able Skincare before. The only online review I found of the brand reads more like a sketchy advertisement written by the makers themselves. If you do a quick google search, you'll find folks on sub-Reddit discussing whether this brand is a scam. I'm still on the fence whether the brand is legit, because their official website is pretty vague about who they are and what they do, especially when their products are all so pricey. For example, this jar of sleeping mask is listed for GBP108 (~$150).

Boscia Sake Hydrating and Brightening Serum

Without the Boscia Sake Balm, I now pair their current formulation of Sake Treatment Water with this Sake Hydrating and Brightening Serum in a 50mL/1.7fl. oz. dropper bottle. Unfortunately, I believe this serum has been discontinued as well, as I don't see it on Boscia's website anymore. Again, too bad because I think it's a pretty nice serum in a generous size packaging, as most serums are around 30mL.

Boscia Sake Treatment Water Part II

When I last posted on this Boscia Sake Treatment Water in 2016 (was it really 6 years ago? O.O), it was a companion review for Boscia Sake Balm (long discontinued by now, which is too bad). 

The packaging has changed a little bit, still with pump dispenser but going from the translucent gradient gray bottle to this totally opaque pale lavender bottle. There's slightly less product too, with 53mL/1.79fl. oz., versus 55mL/1.85fl oz. before.

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Just finished this 125mL/3.8oz. jar of Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm yesterday! This was a full size jar from the Hi Lash Bye Lash Set and it was the only thing I kept. The rest I passed on to friends since I don't use them.

Decleor Aurabsolu Intense Glow Awakening Cream

Last item I'm using from the same Decleor Box of Secrets Beauty Powernap is this 30mL/1fl. oz. tube of Aurabsolu Intense Glow Awakening Cream. The other two being Aromessence Neroli Hydrating Oil Serum and Aroma Cleanse 3-in-1 Hydra-Radiance Smoothing & Cleansing Mousse.
