Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel

Using this 125mL/4.4oz. tube of Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel and loving it--this is probably one of the best gel-to-oil cleanser I've used to date, and it's also been long discontinued :( Boo. Hiss. Every time I find a skincare product I love, it's discontinued!

Muo Cleansing Oil

This 150mL refill pouch of Muo Cleansing Oil was yet another one I finished recently, just last week actually.

 

This one had a light and runny texture too, although nowhere near as runny and watery as The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil. It did the job ok. I didn't like it as much as I did the SkinFood Black Sugar Cleansing Oil, probably because of the texture. It was unscented though, so for those whose skin is  sensitive with fragrances, maybe this is worth a try. I won't repurchase though. Would much rather move on and try other new things.

So...I totally forgot about the Light version of this The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil. And now, five years later and I finally found it again upon tidying up my basket of cleansing oils. Oops. I opened it and tried some on the back of my hands. It smelled fine. No stale odor. It worked fine too, so I used it asap. Here's a quick review as I finished the bottle a couple of weeks ago.

Wow, and I thought the Rich version was runny and watery. This Light version was 10x worse. It was literally like water. I pumped out some into the palm of my hand, and it was so thin and runny it splashed and spilled everywhere. This was definitely not a user-friendly cleansing oil, because I couldn't even use it at home without wasting a bunch from spills, let alone traveling with it. And the thin and watery texture didn't help the oiliness at all. It was still a cleansing oil, through and through. I don't get it. The only okay thing about it was the scent--it had the same scent as the Rich version, but otherwise I definitely don't recommend this product. What a mess.

I'd mentioned that my queue for cleansing oils was down to a couple of bottles and that it was time to restock. What I didn't say was that I went a bit nutty and bought about two dozen bottles (oils) and jars (balms), so I think I'm set for the next few years ^.^"

This time around, I picked mostly US drugstore and Korean brands and went with only a few Japanese ones. Among the new items were these 150mL/5fl. oz. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil in two formulas, Light (left bottle, pink font) and Rich (right bottle, dark red font). I'm reviewing the Rich one today.

Momopuri Milk

I started using the Momopuri Lotion and Lotion Concentrated a month ago and they got me to bust out this 150mL bottle of the Milk and the Booster Serum too. The review below is for the Milk and will post on the Booster Serum next. The only thing I'm not using is the Gel Cream, which I'm saving for hubby.

Been using both the Momopuri Lotion and Lotion Concentrated and enjoying them very much! I bought the 180mL refill packages and just pour them into an empty glass toner bottle.

This 8mL tube of Alverde Naturkosmetik Juicy Lips in Rosehip was part of the gigantic care package Julia sent me all the way from Berlin when she was visiting with her family (thank you, Julia!).

Mama Butter Body Lotion Part II

Here's Mama Butter Body Lotion in the LE Yuzu scent, in the same 140g as the permanent lineup only with Disney collab packaging.

Learning from experience, I used this during the summer and it was perfect, a touch too moisturizing even during the hot and humid days. The yuzu scent was divine and I went through two tubes in a snap! Wish it wasn't LE, because it's no longer available. Boo. Hiss.
