A few years after buying this Yu-Be Deluxe Gift Set, hubby and I are finally getting to the few full-sizes from the set, starting with this 200mL/6.75fl. oz. tube of Foaming Skin Polish.

Handmade La Conner Sugar Scrub

Got this 4oz. glass jar of Handmade La Conner Sugar Scrub from my brother this past Christmas and promptly put it to good use.

Hubby and I have been on a body-scrub kick and I must have bought at least a dozen of them by now! Last winter was really cold and dry, so in addition to slathering on body oils and creams, we've been using these scrubs on our elbows and knees to keep them nice and soft. Hubby must have told my brother this so he went and bought this jar for me for Christmas. How sweet, no? ^.^

Sisley Buff and Wash Facial Gel

Ack I kept finding posts I forgot about in the draft folder! 

Finished this 10mL/0.33fl. oz. tube of Sisley Buff and Wash Facial Gel a while ago but forgot to post this review. This tube was also from the super generous package I got from Caty a couple of years back (Thank you again, Caty! Has it really been that long?!). 

Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub

Finished this 100mL/3.34fl. oz. tube of Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub a few months ago but again forgot to publish the post and there it sat in the draft folder until now. Woops. This scrub was a deluxe sample size from the Lancome Skincare Essentials Collection I got from 2019 holidays season.

Kiehl's Gently Exfoliating Body Scrub Grapefruit

After finishing Kiehl's Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish, hubby and I moved on to this 56mL/2fl. oz. jar of Gently Exfoliating Body Scrub Grapefruit. This jar was from the Grapefruit Body Duo, also part of the Nordstrom order as the Body Polish (and also similarly misplaced for a few years...ha!). 

Kiehl's Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish

Hubby said this 75mL/2.5fl. oz. tube of Kiehl's Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish was one of the best body scrub he's tried so far, and I agreed. This tube was part of the Creme de Corps Collection with LE Disney packaging I got from Nordstrom a few years ago. Yes, it's a few years old--misplaced when we moved home and only resurfaced late last year when I dug out our bathroom supply closet. Woops.

Sisley Energizing Foaming Exfoliant

Been using this 15mL/0.5fl. oz. tube of Sisley Energizing Foaming Exfoliant for a week now. It was part of the super generous care package Caty sent to me two springs ago (thank you, Caty!) and it just took me this long to get to it.

Biotherm Lait de Gommage Gentle Exfoliating Milk

Got a pair of 75mL/2.53fl. oz. deluxe travel sizes of this Biotherm Lait de Gommage Gentle Exfoliating Milk and Lait de Douche Cleansing Shower Milk (will review next) and promptly forgot about them for a few years ^.^"And then of course, hubby and I moved home and I "found" them again.

Caudalie Merlot Friction Scrub

During the same Caudalie summer sale I also picked up this 150g/5.3oz. tub of Merlot Friction Scrub. I loved the Vinotherapie Crushed Cabernet Scrub which was a brown sugar scrub that left my skin moisturized and super soft the next day, so I thought I'd give this one a try too.

Caudalie Vinotherapie Crushed Cabernet Scrub

Traveling for the past few years, there are many items I inevitably forget about and/or left behind, because I either had limited space and could not bring all my favorite things with me or I didn't have access to them because they were packed away in storage. This mini 60g/2.1oz. Caudalie Vinotherapie Crushed Cabernet Scrub was one of them. I bought this way back in 2010 but thankfully the scrub is housed in an airtight container and remains fresh to this day!

Soap Crazy Part XI (Picture Heavy!)

Wow, I just realize I might have bought enough soap from Etsy to last me a lifetime... ^.^' ...and I brought most of them with me to Japan too as we expected to stay for a few years. Whatever, I guess that just mean I'll be bringing them back home again :P

My shower always have 2 bars of soap in addition to a bottle body wash (Johnson's Body Care Dream Skin Relax Body Wash). Why? Because I just get bored easily like that. Anyhow, the below are the bars of soap (listed according to Etsy shop) hubby and I managed to use up since my last soap post.

Anderson Soap Company: my go to shop for soaps, as always. It's too bad he had stopped making goat's milk soap a while ago, but I still like his glycerine and shea butter bars.

- Green Clover & Aloe Shea Butter Soap: a surprisingly "masculine" bar of soap with a cologne like fragrance and denser but finer exfoliating scrubbies. Hubby really liked it, but didn't as much because  felt too scratchy (and not in a good way) on my skin.

Oro Gold Cosmetics 24K Golden Body Scrub

I received this huge tub of 300mL of Oro Gold Cosmetics 24K Golden Body Scrub as a gift from mum in law and have been using it off and on whenever I come home for a visit. I guess it's about time I review it. I'm sure I have at least one picture of this scrub somewhere, but until I go through my library again and find it, a stock picture will have to do for now. Sorry!

The Body Shop Exfoliating Skin Towel

I bought this Body Shop Exfoliating Skin Towel because hubby likes shower scrubs but hates the fruity or sweet scents that usually comes with the body exfoliators I buy (think The Body Shop Body Polishes, L'Occitane Polishing Shower Gels, Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub, etc.). I don't blame him, as I agree some of those scrub are overly perfumy as well. So when I spotted these, I knew he'd like them and he does. I do too ^.^

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish

While in my Body Shop kick, I got both the Strawberry Sunshine Gift Set as well as the Strawberry Love to Pamper Gift Set. As a result, I ended up with 2 of these Strawberry Body Polish tubes :) I tried it right away, of course :)

Again I don't have a picture of this gift set because, like the Wild Cherry Body Bliss Gift Set, I kept the Strawberry Shower Gel, Body Butter, and the Body Polish for myself and gave the Strawberry Soap away. If I didn't like the strawberry scent so much I probably wouldn't have kept the Body Polish either.

- Strawberry Body Polish: I think I've already established the fact that I love this scent. That said, I'm not quite sure how to use this body polish O.O The way I'm using it now is probably wrong? I don't know. So may be this review is a bit inaccurate :X



For the first few times, I just put some on my hands and massaged away. But then it was really hard to reach all of my back with just my hands. Since I use a bath puff and body brush to exfoliate daily anyway, I thought I'd try the puff and brush with this body polish instead of body wash. Once I did, honestly I couldn't really see the point of using this body polish. I mean, if your hands can reach all of your back, this would make a decent body exfoliator that is actually kind of moisturizing. But because I already exfoliate daily with a body brush and then apply body oil afterwards (Oshima Tsubaki Camellia Oil in Water in the summer, pure Camellia Oil in the winter), I couldn't tell the difference with this body polish at all.

So yeah, if your shower habits are similar to mine, this product will probably be useless, so don't get stuck with 2 tubes like me.
