Tarte Quench Lip Rescue Part II

Last fall, I got to try mini versions of these Tarte Quench Lip Rescue and loved them, so I picked up several full sizes when Tarte ran a promotion. There are 8 "colors" available and I have 5: Clear, Berry, Cherry, Coral, and a LE Pink Sands.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Mermaid Skin Hyaluronic H2O Serum

Been using this 10mL/0.34fl. oz. pump tube of Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Mermaid Skin Hyaluronic H2O Serum for a couple of weeks now, as part of my daytime routine.  It was from another Sephora PLAY! SMARTS box that caught my eyes last winter. This box was called Superfoods: Feed Your Face.  

Tarte Quench Lip Rescue

Last winter, I was browsing Sephora and spotted this Rainforest of the Sea Quench Squad Hydrating Mini Lip Set with four mini Quench Lip Rescues in the colors Nude, Berry, Rose, and Red (Cherry?). While I was iffy on the formula and pigmentation, the mini paper tubes in super cute prints totally sold me and I picked one up to try, among other things.

Here's a quick review of Tarte SmolderEyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Moss, because there's no difference between this and the Skinny version at all!

Tarte Skinny SmolderEyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner

J. and I were huge fans of Three Flash Performance Eyeliner Pencil. It boggled our minds that Three would discontinued these, only to replace them with the Meh-smerizing Performance Eyeliner Pencil so bland not even the LE colors could tempt either of us!

In the end, I moved to secure my favorite Flash backups while J. moved on to these Tarte Skinny SmolderEyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner. She really liked them and recommended them to me, so I picked up four colors when they went on sale last summer: Deep Amethyst, Emerald, Jade, and Slate.

Tarte LipSurgence Comparison Swatches

By now I've amassed a bunch of these Tarte LipSurgence lip pencils, and so here are a bunch of comparison swatches for all the colors I currently have. I've passed on many to family and friends, and at the time of writing, I've passed on a few more and kept only those I actually reach for. 

Anyway, enjoy the photos! I did my best to group them first by line: Lip Cremes, Lip Lusters, Lip Stains, and Lip Tints (so many!), then alphabetically by color name (with few exceptions below where I goofed), and finally by in color families as best I could. I'd have to say the Lip Tints are my favorites because they're shimmer-free and translucent, if not transparent, then the Lip Cremes because they're mostly shimmer-free but are inconsistent in translucency. The Lip Lusters are pretty, but as translucent as they are they're also loaded with shimmers.

Tarte LipSurgence Part VII

Here are the Tarte LipSurgence from the same order as the two Total Lip Service sets. The colors I got are Lip Luster Delighted and Lip Tints in Joy, Lust, Moody, and Spirited. There's also a Skintuitive Lip Tint Energy Noir from a different order with a few SmolderEyes, which I'll review later after a good trial.

In late 2013, on an impulse I bought this Tarte Sheer Passion Maracuja Hydrating Cheek Tint in the color Amused. Since then, it'd been sitting in my drawer untouched. I guess it's time to give it a chance? Sigh...

Tarte LipSurgence Part VI

Just a quick post for my latest Tarte LipSurgence acquisition, just one, a Lip Tint in the color Swank.

Out of all the formulas, I think I like the original Lip Tints best, before they became all convoluted with Lip Cremes, Lip Lusters, Matte, Natural, what have you. Sure they're a tad more pigmented than I'd like, but they're also translucent or semi translucent and shimmer tree. As an added bonus, they stain ^.^

- Swank: a translucent but pigmented raspberry red. I likey very much!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation

I got this tiny 1.5g/0.05oz sample jar of Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation as GWP with my most recent Tarte order. Since I'm on a loose powder kick, I figured I might as well swatch this and post it to show you. I haven't actually worn it. I do have various loose powders with at least some sun protection, so I hardly ever touch the non-SPF ones anymore, and this powder foundation doesn't have any sun protection at all.
