Fasio Oil Cleansing EX

I finished up the bottle of Naive Makeup Cleansing Oil a while back and started using this 30mL travel sized bottle of Fasio Oil Cleansing EX. It came in the Visee Eye Color and Liquid Eye Liner Set I got from Don Quijote over the winter.

Visee Eye Color and Liquid Eye Liner Set

This set includes a small 2.5mL tube of Fasio Mascara Easy Remover, a mini 70-sheet booklet of Kose Selectly Glitter Aburatorigami Oil Blotting Paper, a Visee Glam Glow Eyes palette in BR-3, and a full size Visee Liquid Eye Liner in BK001.

Happy Bath Day Precious Rose Rose Enrich Body Soap

In addition to the Tsubaki Limited Edition Shining Water Gift Set, another nice (and impulsive) deal I got at Don Quijote was this Happy Bath Day Precious Rose Limited Edition Gift Set. I've been curious about this Happy Bath Day line but am not about to drop 1,050yen on a 300mL bottle of body wash anytime soon. If I were to spend that money, I'd rather buy goat's milk soaps on Etsy!

But the funny thing was that right next to those bottles, a bunch of these gift sets were on display for only 798yen with tax! Not only the gift sets contain the same 300mL bottle of body wash, they also come with travel sizes of the Hand Cream and the Milky Body Gel. Who the heck would pay more for the individual bottles? Not me ^.^

Tsubaki Shining Shampoo

I believe it was last summer that the Tsubaki Hair Care line had a revamp. The original Tsubaki Shampoo in the red bottle became Tsubaki Shining Shampoo (and Conditioner), the white bottles changed from Golden Repair to Damage Care, complete with a new addition of the gold bottles of Head Spa (for deep cleansing, I think...). I was curious at the time, but thinking back to my disappointing experience with the Golden Repair Shampoo and Conditioner in 2008, I didn't feel like trying.

That is, until I stumbled upon this ridiculous deal at Don Quijote - a limited edition gift set with a pair of 550mL of the Tsubaki Shining Shampoo and Conditioner, and a full size 250mL Tsubaki Water, all for only 998yen including tax!

Visee Glam Glow Eyes

So after getting d*cked with the Visee x Smacky Glam Glam Glow Eyes limited edition palettes, perhaps karma took pity on me and gave me an even better story to tell about this Visee Eye Color and Liquid Eye Liner Sets from Don Quijote

Playing around with the limited edition palettes finally got me to think about the permanent line again, and I stopped by Don Quijote one afternoon after class to check out the testers one more time. That was when I saw these sets, each containing a deluxe 30mL sample jar of Fasio Oil Cleansing EX, a small 2.5mL tube of Fasio Mascara Easy Remover, a mini 70-sheet booklet of Kose Selecty Glitter Aburatorigami Oil Blotting Paper (retails 420yen), a Visee Glam Glow Eyes palette in either BR-3 or PK-1 (retails 1,680yen), and a full size Visee Liquid Eye Liner in BK001 (retails 1,050yen). Each set was priced at 1,964yen each with actual retail value at 3,150yen, not counting the cleansing oil and mascara remover samples, and of course I had to grab at least one. The question was which, BR-3 or PK-1, or both.

Don Quijote

No, not the novel, the store a few blocks from the West Entrance of the gigantic Yokohama Station.

Entering the place, passing 1 row and smack dab to our right was this whole shelf displaying "colorful" intimates for men. Next to them was a column hanging big cushy pillows in the "fun" *cough* shapes of bananas and, more explicitly, ladies' crotch shot covered in black panties. Note the red g-string with the character "kane" (gold). Above it is a yellow one with, if you look closely, a feminine hand cupping the "precious." To the left of "kane" is a black g-string with the character "ai" (love). The sight was too good to pass up so I made hubby take this picture, much to his protest. I would probably draw too much unwanted attention if I were to take the photo myself and hubby can get away with some things I can't in this country. Didn't I tell you I'm immature? *giggles*

If we didn't know better, we might have thought we had mistakenly walked into an adult toy store. Not so. Don Quijote is actually a well known multi-floor discount store, though I must say with such first impressions, it might be better suited with the name Don Juan instead.

After browsing around, we bought our set of Japanese futon there for a reasonable 10,000yen ($120). Ahh...finally, a bed! Lugging the big futon home on foot, we both took a shower and subsequently passed out cold.
