Lancome Creme-Mousse Confort Comforting Cleansing Creamy-Foam Part II

Update Thursday, October 3, 2024.

I just realized I reviewed an older version of this cleanser back in 2013, under a slightly different name! It was too drying for my skin then, and I'm happy they've reformulated it since and made it better :)

-------------------------------------------------

Original post Monday, August 19, 2024.

Finished this 50mL/1.7fl. oz. deluxe travel sized tube of Lancome Creme-Mousse Confort Comforting Cleansing Creamy-Foam a long time ago and liked it a lot. It was from a Lancome Skincare Essentials Collection that I got a couple of years ago, and I like it enough that I would probably purchase a full size if I ever see it on sale.

Lancome Genifigue Hydrogel Melting Mask

Another belated post for this pair of Lancome Genifigue Hydrogel Melting Mask soaked in a generous 28g of serum. This was part of the Skincare Essentials Collection I bought from Nordstrom a couple of years ago.

Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub

Finished this 100mL/3.34fl. oz. tube of Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub a few months ago but again forgot to publish the post and there it sat in the draft folder until now. Woops. This scrub was a deluxe sample size from the Lancome Skincare Essentials Collection I got from 2019 holidays season.

Updated Friday, February 24, 2017.

Last several brushes to go for charity!

I started buying brushes around the beginning of 2014, and since then some have become my daily go-to's and others haven't been touched. I've stopped buying brushes I think I need--I now know what I need and only buy those. So here's to hoping someone else might find the below brushes useful.

2. All proceeds will go to charity:
3. Paypal payments in USD only.

ORDERING DETAILS:

2. All orders will be sent via USPS Flat-rate boxes with tracking and insurance. I hold no responsibilities for lost packages.

Photos are *not* current--they were taken when the brushes were first bought. Click on images to zoom. Follow links for more photos and reviews.

Lancome Absolue Eye Precious Cells

Oops, totally forgot to take a photo of this Lancome Absolue Eye Precious Cells before using it up :( It was a generous 8g/0.2oz. jar too ($33 value!)! I don't remember which GWP this came with, but it must have lasted me at least 2 months. I was using it throughout my grad school boot-camp all of July, then through graduation and moving all of August.

This was a very light eye cream that was a shimmery beige color, though I didn't care for the prettiness. Since it was summer and this was light, I used it exclusively during daytime. It tended to pill up when I accidentally applied too much, and now that I think about it, this pilling thing is common to many Lancome eye creams I've used thus far, even serums and sometimes face creams. I think it was unscented. If there were any fragrance, it was so mild I stopped noticing. Over all an okay eye cream and I definitely would never ever purchase the full size 0.7oz at $117! Good lord, they think I work for Goldman Sachs or something?

Lancome Absolue Sublime Oleo-Serum

Eeps, it's getting crazy over here and will probably get worse come July-August, so I'll do my best to post whenever I have time. That said, I do have some goodies coming up to show you (hint: more Koyudo and Lunasol ^.^)...

Finished this 5mL/0.16floz. deluxe sample of Lancome Absolue Sublime Oleo-Serum a couple of weeks ago but didn't get around to review until now. I got the sample from the Saks 5th Avenue's holiday 2013 GWP.

Lancome Color Design Palette Part II

I bought these 2 Lancome Color Design Palettes long ago during the Sak's 5th Avenue's Holiday 2013 GWP. I had been eyeing two palettes, 310 Luminous Violet and 507 Metallic Moss, for a long time. I guess after 3 disappointing and uneven palettes (505 Sparkling Intoxication100 Taupe Craze, and 503 Mint Jolie), I still haven't learned my lesson :X

Lancome Le Crayon Khol

Had two of these 0.7g/0.02oz. GWP size of Lancome Le Crayon Khol in Black Coffee. I gave one to my sister who uses it to fill in her brows and kept one for myself.

Makeup Brushes Part V (Picture heavy!)

I actually started writing this post around fall of 2012, and never got around to finishing it until now. But while life got in the way of me writing this post, it didn't stop me from using the below featured brushes ^.^ They've been with me since, from Japan to Taiwan and back, then hopped a few more states. I guess now is a good time to finally post this so I can move on to more exciting things like Hakuhodo and Koyudo, yeah!

I've been up front from the very beginning that at the start of this brush adventure I didn't know much at all about brushes. I still don't, barely scratching the knowledge surface in comparison to the brush collectors out there. But hey, this blog is not about catching up to anyone. I post about the things I like and that's that.

Anyway, I was moving around too much and didn't have the time or energy to invest in nicer brushes. Moving had its toll, and I'm still lagging behind on items I bought a couple of years ago because they were packed away and were subsequently forgotten. Oops. So all the brushes featured thus far have been "making do" brushes until I can settle down a bit and start looking into nicer ones. But make-do brushes don't always mean shitty brushes. In fact, I like some of my make-do brushes very much, and even though I now have nicer ones I still reach for them quite frequently, and not just because I'm sentimental. These are some very decent brushes that get the job done.

- Lancome #3 Highlighting Brush: Unfortunately, this one is truly a make-do brush, as in crappy and only kinda sorta gets the job done. I bought it back in 2011 and had been using it until earlier this year when I finally started building my set of Hakuhodo and Koyudo. Thankfully I didn't pay a lot for it, only some $28, which for 3 years of use was worth the price I guess.

Lancome Rouge in Love

Other than the occasional freebie, I haven't bought any Lancome lippy for a long time, so that was my excuse to give the Rouge in Love line a try.

I guess what got me interested was that the lip colors are divided into 3 "moods":
- Those marked with "M": Jolis Matins, "fresh" colors for daytime wear (wait, does that mean for any other time the colors aren't fresh?!?).
- Those marked with "B": Boudoir Time, "pop" colors, I guess here means bright, for cocktail time.
- Those marked with "N": Tonight is My Night, "intense" colors for nighttime wear.

As you can probably guess, I bought 3 M's and 1 B's, because I don't like intense lip colors: 106M Jolis Matins (that's the name of the color!), 128M Ever So Sweet, 322M Corail in Love, and 340B Rose Boudoir. I actually didn't intend to get any B's, but I was curious to see how bright is "pop" ^.^

Lancome Tonique Radiance Clarifying Exfoliating Toner

If it weren't for my quick trip I wouldn't have a chance to try this 50mL travel size of Lancome Tonique Radiance Clarifying Exfoliating Toner. Whenever I see a product with "clarifying" in its name, I automatically assume it's for oilier skin and would probably be harsher on my dry skin. It was from the Nordstrom Spring 2012 GWP, along with Creme Douceur Cream-to-Oil Massage Cleanser and Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector reviewed previously.

Lancome x Alber Elbaz Color Design Palettes

Bought two Lancome x Alber Elbaz Color Design Palettes shortly after 505 Sparkling Intoxication, partly for their color combos and their cute cartoony compacts. I got a handful of generous GWPs also, which was nice.

The 2 combos I got were 100 Taupe Craze and 503 Mint Jolie

Lancome Color Design Palette

These Lancome Color Design Palettes came out in spring 2011 (I think...), but at the time I wasn't at all interested. To be honest I was never really into Lancome eye shadows to begin with. Having played around with several GWP palettes in the past, even though the colors are pretty I found their texture and finish consistently dull and lacking. Not to mention these Color Design quints are expensive at $49 a piece. A bit much for blah, no?

Fast forward to this summer, and Lancome launched an assault campaign in collaboration with Alber Elbaz, forcing blinders on my peripheral vision with eye-poking, attention-grabbing emails every time I checked - thou shalt lookest (or at least googlest)!!! So I did. Out of all the color combos available, I found 505 Sparkling Intoxication most interesting, thanks to the review from Rouge Deluxe. So I picked it up to try along with 100 Taupe Craze and 503 Mint Jolie housed in the limited edition compacts by Alber Elbaz. I will review those 2 in a separate post.

Lancome Genifique Eye

Through a couple of promotions I got two 7g jars of Lancome Genifique Eye Youth Activating Eye Concentrate. I gave one to my mum and nearly finished with the one I kept, which took me 2+ months of daily morning use!

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector

Had 2 of these 7mL sample bottles of Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector through various GWP promotions, one of which landed me the Creme Douceur Cream-to-Oil Massage Cleanser deluxe trial tube!

The promotion also came with the Tonique Radiance 50mL/1.7oz. which I still haven't gotten around to try yet!

Lancome Desert Rose Subtle Shimmering Blush

This Lancome Desert Rose Subtle Shimmering Blush is one of those forgotten items I've had for a while but were packed away while I moved around. I finally got to it now and am enjoying it!

After the humongous La Roseraie Illuminating Smooth Powder compact, I was relieved to find this Desert Rose blush comes in a regular sized Lancome rectangular blush compact that's much thinner. I'm kind of confused with the name though. It's called the Desert Rose Subtle Shimmering Blush, but the top flap of the box also prints the name "Island Horizon," which makes me think the blush came in different color variations. It didn't, and even if it did it's no longer available anyway.

Lancome La Roseraie Illuminating Smooth Powder

I actually bought this Lancome La Roseraie Illuminating Smooth Powder for my mum, but with her permission took pictures and even a swatch of it ^.^ She always complains of a dull complexion, and she wears blushes and highlighters faithfully everyday so I bought this for her to try out.
