Addiction Lipstick Sheer Part III

This Addiction Lipstick Sheer 013 Vintage Rose was part of the Carmen Rose collection released in the spring of 2019. It was also the last addition of the original lineup of Sheers before a brand new lineup of 15 colors was introduced later that fall for Addiction's 10th anniversary.

Addiction the Eye Shadow Part IV

Starting with the Empress Orchid collection in the fall of 2018, Addiction went on to release two more collections in 2019 that caught my eyes: Fake Romance in the spring, from which I picked up three Eye Shadow singles, 134 Blood Moon (P), 136 Black Rose (P), and 139 Soprano (S), and Carmen Rose in the summer, from which I got 144 Vintage Rose (P), 147 Roma Bronze (P), and 151 Spanish Lullaby (P).

Addiction Compact Addiction Chinoiserie

In the fall of 2018, Addiction released a large collection named Empress Orchid. Among the collection were six(!) nona eye shadow compacts with inspiration drawn from the film The Last Emperor, Compact Addiction Chinoiserie: 001 Last Emperor, 002 Eastern Jewel, 003 Rain, 004 China Girl, 005 Shanghai Breakfast, and 006 Trust Me. Each palette was said to have existing colors from the current lineup of 99, palette-only limited editions, and re-issues from previously discontinued colors.

Out of the six though, I was drawn only to two: 002 Eastern Jewel and 005 Shanghai Breakfast. Meanwhile, 001 Last Emperor has unique colors that I would never wear, 003 Rain is too pastel which doesn't work well on my yellow-saturated skin tone, 004 China Girl is pretty but is dominated with similar-looking pinks and grays, and 006 Trust Me is plain yawn-inducing.

Even 005 Shanghai Breakfast has only 3 unique colors, the pale pink, bright pink, and gold. The other 6 are way too close, all in the mauve-bordeaux-burgundy-wine-purple family. So I ended up with just 002 Eastern Jewel, because all the colors in this palette look differently enough.

Addiction Stolen Kiss Enhancer

Earlier this year, along with the few Addiction the Eyeshadows, I also picked up the new Stolen Kiss Enhancer in 001 Bitten Rose (there's only one color available), yes, with the same hideous packaging and all.

Addiction the Eyeshadow Part III

Added a few more to my Addiction the Eyeshadow collection earlier this year ^.^" Call it a pink-mauve-plum phase, but I saw these colors all over Instagram and Suqqu Designing Color Eyes 04 絢撫子 (Ayanadeshiko) Mauve Pink & Deep Bordeaux helped do away with my fear of mauvey eye colors. Here are 080 Cry Baby (P), 085 Shanghai Breakfast (P), 087 Gypsy Queen (P), and 096 Blue Moon (P), the last of which I'd wanted to pick up long ago when hubby and I were still in Tokyo.

Addiction Brush

When I first visited the Addiction counter at the Ginza Mitsukoshi for the Pressed Duo Eyebrow, the gal there offered me this wide Eye Brow Brush. I didn't take the bait. At the time, I didn't know wide eye brow brushes would soon become a fixture in my daily makeup routine.

Addiction Lipstick Sheer Part II

Despite these Addiction Lipstick Sheer being housed in ugly and bulky plastic tubes, I went back for the other two colors I'd been eyeing: 003 Cherry Cherry and 004 Cassis, because I like the formula that much.

Addiction Misty On Skin Refresher Travel Blend

Through various purchases at the Addiction counter on the B1 floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi, I ended up with two 12mL spray bottles of this Misty On Skin Refresher Travel Blend.

Addiction Lipstick Sheer

Since coming home last October, I've been on a serious lipstick kick--I finally caved on Addiction Lipstick Sheer. The lineup has ten colors. I was eyeing five of those ten but refrained and went with only three: 001 Super Woman, 002 Last Scene, and 010 Amaranto. I wanted to make sure I like the formula first before getting the remaining two colors on my wish list.

Found yet another post on Addiction Flower Evolution Collection with swatches via Cosme.net.

Looks like Eyeshadow 112 Flower Evolution and 117 My Darling are both base/highlighters after all. Oh well. Will skip both in favor of just the Lipstick Sheers. I have too many base and highlighters already.

Been very frustrated with the lack of swatches and previews for the upcoming Spring 2017 releases from Addiction, Lunasol, and Suqqu. Come on, interweb! May be I'm looking at all the wrong places?

Here are the few I've found, with help from fellow reader Caty. Thank you Caty!

- Addiction Flower Evolution Collection, on sale January 6, 2017, has some 10 new eye shadows, some of which are eye-catching mosaics. Too bad 6/10 are also mattes, including 119 Flower Portrait I was lemming :( Boo. Hiss.

Addiction The Eyeshadow Part II

In early October, J. and I visited the Addiction counter at the Ginza Mitsukoshi to check out the then newly released North Star collection. But really we were there to play with all The Eyeshadows and pick up whatever gem(s) we could find before we leave Tokyo :( I ended up going home with 021 Love Affair (P), 040 Dolly Bird (P), 069 Flash Back (P), 074 Fudge (ME), 091 Super Moon (P), and 110 Old Town.

Addiction Ready To Wear Eye Palette Part II

After swatching Addiction Ready To Wear Eye Palette in 05 Departure, I knew I had to pick up 06 Es Paradis also. Thank goodness I did, because some time in early September, these palettes disappeared from Addiction's website. They haven't returned since, which makes me thing they've been discontinued. They weren't available at the department store counters, and I just checked Rakuten JP and didn't see any there either. Only a couple are currently listed on e(vil)bay at a marked up price ($90-105!).
