The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

Finally, finally finished up the bottle of The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover from a couple of years ago so I moved on to this 250mL/8.4fl. oz. Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover. Keep in mind mine is an old bottle and the packaging looks totally different now.

'Tis the Season of Giving - Makeup Brushes

Updated Friday, February 24, 2017.

Last several brushes to go for charity!

I started buying brushes around the beginning of 2014, and since then some have become my daily go-to's and others haven't been touched. I've stopped buying brushes I think I need--I now know what I need and only buy those. So here's to hoping someone else might find the below brushes useful.

The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover

One 300mL pump bottle of Bifesta Cleansing Lotion last me the entire time hubby and I were in Tokyo, and then some. I didn't finish the bottle even, and prior to leaving Tokyo I passed it on to a friend.

Since settling in back home I've been using this 150mL/5fl. oz. bottle of The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover instead. Mine is actually an older version as the packaging is now different and the product is called Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover, even though it still works for both eyes and lips.

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Make-up Cleansing Oil

Since coming home, I've been using this 125mL/4.2fl oz. bottle of Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Make-up Cleansing Oil. It's also discontinued--I don't see it on The Body Shop USA's website anymore, which means this review is useless. Ha.

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

Picked up this 90mL/2.7fl. oz. of The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter thinking it was a cleansing cream. Turns out it's a cream-to-oil cleanser. Oops.

Quick rant on the packaging: it sucks. I wonder why they think it'd be a good idea to put a cream-to-oil cleanser in a wide and flat round container with a twist cap. Because it's really hard to open, and then once the stuff got onto your hand, it's impossible to close. What's the logic here? I don't get it!

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

I'm two weeks into this 200mL/6.75fl. oz. pump bottle of The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. After Shikioriori Tsubaki Cleansing Oil, I wanted to change things up a bit and try something different, as in *not* Japanese ^.^

The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes Part III

These Body Shop Shimmer Cubes were my biggest summer project. I've been collecting these for years, since 2007. And yet I've only review a few, and even then, I only described and provided pictures for the dry colors and swatches. So earlier in the summer, I decided once and for all I will redo swatches for all of them, dry and wet, including the ones I've posted on before. Below is my entire collection, a total of 18 palettes, having skipped a few here and there because I didn't like the colors.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil

When I first saw this Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil on their USA online shop last summer, it peaked my intrigue. Think about it, public opinion on oil-related skincare has shifted so far that a mainstream brand now offers an oil cleanser and an oil serum! It used to be that "oil" was a word of taboo in skincare and anything that wishes to sell claims to be oil-free. I myself bought into that fear of oils, that was, until I worked and lived in Japan and saw how the other side of the globe embraced oils. So you bet I bought a bottle of this serum-in-oil to try ^.^

The Body Shop Lily Cole Puff On Radiance

Update Saturday, March 22, 2014.

A reader, Ann, wanted to clarify whether these pearls are truly colorless, so I have posted a swatch photo, which I should have done to begin with ^.^ By the way, from playing with these pearls, I learned they are buttery and silky to the touch!

The pearls are of 3 colors (left to right): peachy pink (less than 20%), pearly shell pink (about 40%), and pearly gold (about 40%). To get each swatch, I literally picked one out and rubbed it many times to get a color to show up. Only the peach pink would work as a blush, and that's if you were to apply the same way I swatched, as in picking that specific color out and rub it heavily onto your cheek xD Technically, you can separate the peachy pink pearls and use a blush brush to pick up the color as blush. Otherwise, given the percentage of the color distribution and the disperse of a stippling or highlighting brush, there will only a brightening veil of warmth (due to the peach pink and gold).

Original post Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Picked up this Body Shop Lily Cole Puff On Radiance at the same time as the sheer and bulky Lip & Cheek Domes and have been using this powder since. It's in a giant ball jar with a flat base, which makes it both bulky and difficult to store, but thankfully the powder itself is quite nice ^.^

The Body Shop Buriti Baby Body Butter

After sampling small 50g/1.76oz. tub of the The Body Shop Buriti Baby Body Butter from the Mini Essentials Kit, I was hooked and bought multiple full size backups.

The Mini Essentials Kit came with 60mL/2fl oz. each of the Buriti Baby Body Wash, Baby Shampoo, and the Massage Gel which I will post next.

The Body Shop Lily Cole Lip & Cheek Dome

I was eyeing these limited edition The Body Shop Lily Cole Lip & Cheek Dome for a long time, since they came out last spring! But of course, I was in Japan at the time and couldn't get them until I moved home in the fall, by which point they were on sale, which I guess made the wait somewhat worth while? ^.^'

Unfortunately, as soon as I received them, I very much regretted getting them. I had seen pictures online but couldn't really picture the actual bulkiness of the packaging until I held them in my hands. You see, the product protrudes at the top and is housed in a curved cylinder, roughly two-inch from the bottom to the top of the twist-off clear domed cap, and 1.5-inch in diameter. The packaging makes them quite bulky and difficult to store or carry :(

The Body Shop Buriti Baby Body Wash

This 60mL/2fl oz. travel sized bottle of Body Shop Buriti Baby Body Wash is from the Mini Essentials Kit, which also includes the same sized bottles of the Shampoo, Massage Gel, and a 50mL/1.76oz. tub of the Body Butter. I've been using it among a dozen other travel sized L'Occitane body washes, all of which I will eventually catch up to posting ^.^

The Body Shop Buriti Baby Shampoo

Been curious about the Buriti Baby line from The Body Shop for a long time, but of course I don't have any reason to buy it. And then it seems the line is being discontinued, so all the products went to the Outlet section and one day, I was curious enough to pick up the Mini Essentials Kit with 60mL/2fl oz. bottles each of the Shampoo, Body Wash, Massage Gel, and a 50mL/1.76 oz. mini tub of the Body Butter. I am only reviewing the Shampoo today and will post on the rest soon!
