I had at least three of these 15mL/0.5fl. oz. deluxe travel sized tubes of Estee Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer from three different GWP's. EL was hyping them up so much--I saw ads for it everywhere! Every time I opened up Instagram, I saw more ads. And then with every order I placed with EL, I got a sample. Naturally, I looked forward to trying it, because that's how marketing works, right?

In essence, this isn't a bad primer. It's actually pretty decent. It dispenses a pink-tinted and pearly white lotion, goes on very light and refreshing, and is decently moisturizing. Once it sets, I get a faintly glowing veil. Great! Exactly what I was looking for.
Now the real test, and this is where the primer fails miserably: it does not layer well under my waterproof sunscreen. No matter how much or how little of this primer I use, my sunscreen just would not set on top of it. Once I layer on sunscreen, it just sits there and shifts around in patches, which totally defeats the purpose of a primer.
No, it's not my sunscreen. It's this primer: the second ingredient after water is a silicone. I've had this same problem with the entire product line of Clinique Moisture Surge--my sunscreen did not set on top of these products, thanks to all the silicone in their ingredients. So yeah, I will not purchase the full size of this EL Aqua Brilliance Watery Glow Primer, and I don't recommend it either if you wear waterproof sunscreen on a daily basis like I do.
