While visiting SF for a few days, hubby and I stayed at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins, simply because hubby's company put him there.
I wanted to take pictures of the lobby, etc., but couldn't. We were out all day and our schedule was packed so tight that we only had time to zip in and out for quick changes of clothes. And given the few days we had in the city, I would much rather wander around Japantown and then camp out at Crown and Crumpets to write anyway.
But overall it was a pretty comfortable stay. Ours was a standard room and was pretty clean and well-kept. We spent four nights there and all was without any incident.
The bathroom was clean but damp, though I blame SF weather and the fact that the building is old, so ventilation wasn't great.
