Ettusais Rose Cheek Color

Here's the Ettusais Rose Cheek Color in RD that was released spring of 2014. While looking through Ettusais's website I was surprised to find that this blush was still available, so I bought it along with the new Heart Face Color and Heart Cheek Colors (will review next).

Ettusais Heart Face Color

After my Ettusais Cheek Colors way back in 2012, I stopped paying attention to the brand, until this past March when I was surfing Rakuten JP and spotted a listing for this Heart Face Color. I don't need any more highlighters but both the powder and the compact were too cute to resist, so I headed over to Ettusais' website for a closer look. There, I found they also have two adorable Heart Cheek Colors as well as the Rose Cheek Color released last spring (will review next), so I picked up all four ^.^

Visee Lip & Cheek Cream Part II

I'm thoroughly enjoying Visee Lip & Cheek Cream OR-3, RD-1, and RD-6 (just on the cheeks), so I decided to pick up PK-2 also. I've already reviewed the formula and texture in detail so this will be another short post for the color.

- PK-2: a medium pink that looks warmer in the pan and more neutral on me, blending out to a pretty and flattering petal pink.

Tarte LipSurgence Part VI

Just a quick post for my latest Tarte LipSurgence acquisition, just one, a Lip Tint in the color Swank.

Out of all the formulas, I think I like the original Lip Tints best, before they became all convoluted with Lip Cremes, Lip Lusters, Matte, Natural, what have you. Sure they're a tad more pigmented than I'd like, but they're also translucent or semi translucent and shimmer tree. As an added bonus, they stain ^.^

- Swank: a translucent but pigmented raspberry red. I likey very much!

Catrice Defining Blush

Every once in a while I see Iris at Rouge Deluxe post about a Catrice collection in Europe, though none of the colors ever catch my eyes. Then in late March Monika at Rocaille Write reviewed the Defining Blush in 020 Rose Royce, and the pretty peach got my attention. I've never tried anything from Catrice or its sister brand Essence, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to branch out a bit.

From E(vil)bay I picked up 3 colors, 020 Rose Royce (it was this color that got me to look after all!), 040 Think Pink, and 090 Mandy-rine. I paid about US$8.80 after shipping from France, which is pricey for a drugstore product but isn't prohibitive.

Storage for Makeup Brushes Part II

I've posted about my custom makeup brush stands, so this post is dedicated to the makeup brush rolls I use for travels. These lovelies are handmade by May Ling of EJCDezines (not affiliated!), from Melbourne, Australia.


I browsed through hundreds of different Etsy shops that made fabric brush rolls and fell in love with May Ling's fabrics and simple designs. I especially love that many of her fabrics are textured and quite thick. And plus she lined these rolls so padding was unnecessary. May Ling was very patient when working with my requests for different size pockets, because...Koyudo fu-pas ^.^ Do check out her shop if you're interested. I might have to get a couple more rolls myself as my brush collection have grown!

Chantecaille Stress Repair Concentrate

I got really annoyed with Sothys Secrets de Sothys Eye Contour Serum getting all melty and seeping into my eyes, so I switched to 3mL/0.1oz. sample tube of Chantecaille Stress Repair Concentrate instead. This was part of Saks 5th Avenue's holiday 2013 GWP that I'm still trying to use up, yes, running a little behind there, just a little...

Lipstick Queen Spring Fling Set

Back in mid March Lipstick Queen had a spring promotion and this Spring Fling Set was half price, so I snatched it up in a blink ^.^ The set includes 3 lipsticks, a Pink Sinner, Saint Coral (I pretty much bought the set for this color!), and Butterfly Ball Trance.

Stila Eye Shadow Trios

I got these Stila Eye Shadow Trios at the same time as the Eye Shadow singles, intending to fill the 8-pans compact. And then somewhere in between all the moves, they got boxed away until now. Ha. There are several of these trios and I picked 5 I most likely will wear: 02 Rocker, 03 Venus, 04 Bella, 07 Ethereal, and 08 Gilded.

After Astalift Nurturing Eye Cream, I tried Suisse Programme Caviar Repair Eye Complex for nighttime eye treatment but it wasn't moisturizing enough, so I moved on to this small satchet Sothys Secrets de Sothys Eye Contour Serum instead.
